>Ikki had no magic talent so he set intense training routines for himself, and ran about twenty kilometers every morning to maintain his physical fitness. Those twenty kilometers weren't some light jogging; he sprinted at full speed and changed the rhythm often to strain his heart and lungs
Some translations say he alternated between jogging and spriting Either way I already made a plan using the 10% rule that will bring me to doing this 20 km spriting routine
I'll prepare myself for it using my 6 months plan after I complete my novice 5k program and tell you how it goes
>taking fitness advice from some dyel japanese artist
Isaac Perez
Whos ikki?
Jacob Flores
Fucking this. Stop being fucking retarded. Back in the day I thought that nippons made at least some research but when I was that Vegeta was canonically 54kg at 165cm despite being pure muscle I realise how stupid I was.
Isaiah Bailey
>Ikki had no magic talent so he set intense training routines for himself So who came first, this guy or Asta?
Logan Foster
Just start with running every day with a few days off a week. Do this for a month and then start planning. Things like this need action at the start not planning. Planning comes when you aren't a novice anymore.
Luis Roberts
I hope you're not expecting to get abs like that.
Levi Wood
>Planning comes when you aren't a novice anymore Would would be the weekly km of a non novice?
ikki kurogane
Asterisk wars is uber shit that's all that matters
Isaac Adams
>sprint a half marathon every day How low is your IQ?
Lucas Butler
>sprinting a half marathon every day >he sprinted at full speed and changed the rhythm often to strain his heart and lungs >Some translations say he alternated between jogging and spriting How pow is your iq senpai?
Josiah Gutierrez
>20km sprint
lol fukin retard
Brody Flores
Ars longa, vita brevis. Yes I know it doesn't quite mean what I'm making it mean.
Liam Long
That's not an answer. Just a quote from Hippocrates, translated to Latin. In the book he wrote this quote down (I read it), he ironically talks about the dangers of over-exercising.
You owned yourself, son.
Jacob Morris
I'm not the user whose IQ you were enquiring about. But I thought useful to point out that mangas, being work of art (as in, fiction), tend to exaggerate things in order to make an impression.
Thomas Torres
Are you drunk or something?
Carson Cruz
Oh man are you one of those people who do the whole "10 BOOKS YOU MUST READ FOR A BETTER LIFE" and its just meditations/art of war and somehow reading those....improves your life or something even though you just continue to post on Yas Forums (no bully, I post here too)
I just always wonder how those books are supposed to do anything. I've read most of them, but like everyone I ever talk to who has also read them, no one ever changes their lifestyles dramatically (or at all) or anything, they just like pulling random quotes out of their ass when they remember them in conversation, and that's the extent of the impact of the books
Asher Long
No, why? Sorry if my English is not perfect
Jaxon Morris
lol I really didn't expect those reactions tbqh. It's just a quote that I read out of its context apparently.
Cooper Mitchell
Art is long, life is short? You know you're not gonna look like the art you posted? You're gonna look like what real people look like when they run that often.
Again, I''m not the OP. I took the quote to mean "things are smaller/less perfect/ in life than when depicted in art".
Xavier Hernandez
>ran about twenty kilometers every morning to maintain his physical fitness.
that's going to promote wasting in the upper body especially, it isn't going to make you fit in any way,
Ryder King
Im honestly surprised someone remembers this. I remember i was hoping they would make another season. did the light novel finish at least?
Zachary Nguyen
>You know you're not gonna look like the art you posted? He's not me, Im OP Ikki didn't only do sprints you fucking retard, in episode 1 you can see an ab roller and dumbbbels, it's in the literal first 10 seconds m.youtube.com/watch?v=1ux5QpucU_w
Juan Fisher
Enjoy your shin splints, retard
>t. runner
Jackson Sanders
What if I eat more calories and workout my upper body too?
I only got shin pain in my first week of running Now the only pain I feel is in my quads above my knee but I don't really feel it while I run, it's just if I do certain movements and don't rest
Colton King
I know it's licensed and it's currently on 17th volume Don't even hope for a second seasons, I wish they continued the manga though
>running 12 miles every day at 90+% of max heart rate
lol good luck
Sebastian Green
Just fyi, that's not even remotely the body you're going to have from sprinting or jogging. Cringe and delusion.
Evan Smith
>he cares about heart rate Im not in my 60s grandpa
John Morris
>that's not even remotely the body you're going to have from sprinting or jogging >Ikki didn't only do sprints you fucking retard, in episode 1 you can see an ab roller and dumbbells He's pretty dyel actually
the japanese akira alpha dog OP is bringing out the fangs
Adam Rodriguez
In case you're truly autistic, my advice is not to go 100%. Running on hard surfaces or if you're heavy will destroy your knees and other parts of you. Start slow, take rest days, and make steady progress.
>Running on hard surfaces or if you're heavy will destroy your knees and other parts of you Im not overweight and Im planning on running on grass or dirt, will that save my knees?
> Start slow, take rest days, and make steady progress. Do I really need to if its just a 10 seconds sprint followed by 50 seconds of jogging?
Grayson Gomez
Damn didn't know naruto was this ripped
Cameron King
R u gonna meditate like ikki too user? For dem mental gains?
Camden Johnson
Why the fuck would you take fitness advice from anime. You are the most retarded man to ever step foot on this board
Hunter Reed
>Those twenty kilometers weren't some light jogging; he sprinted at full speed and changed the rhythm often to strain his heart and lungs
kys dipshitniggerfaggot. So cringy. Also don't run 12 miles everyday right away. You WILL give up especially since you will be doing intermittent sprinting. You are not in an anime and will not get some magic power boost when running because you are "so le determined". Start with like a 0.7miles for on week and slowly add a half a mile every couple of weeks.
Sebastian Moore
this!
OP KYS
Aiden Reyes
>doing speed work every day, period Retard
Luis Smith
Yes and yes. This is a marathon, not a sprint, durr hurr.
Ayden Wilson
You are not an anime character, you flaming faggot. You will most likely just end up fucking up your knees like a retard.
Sebastian Price
>Taking advice from anime >Ever You deserve every single bad thing that comes your way, along with every other weebtard that exists.
Leo Hughes
Ikki meditates? When?
Austin Powell
>Why the fuck would you take fitness advice from anime Because I trust anime
Nathan Turner
>You are not an anime character, you flaming faggot Says you
Josiah Jackson
Not OP but...not shit those books won't do anything if you don't change anything. E.g. your mindset/mentality, perceptions or actions etc. What did you expect, that upon reading the last page you would instantly become a better person?
James Miller
People are imperfect, but a slight improvement is enough that it's ok to read only if you learn very little.
Matthew Thompson
fuck you
Nicholas Martinez
For the record, that mileage is achievable with years of training, but no significant portion of it could be considered a sprint by anybody who's ever sprinted at even a high school level. >t. ran for 15 years
Colton Ramirez
>>t. ran for 15 years You are saying he ran for 15years. When talking about your self you don't quote
Ryan Rogers
>For the record, that mileage is achievable with years of training Yeah I found that 10k every day is a pretty common week for highschool track teams
Though it makes me wonder why would it take years to be able to do 20k a day? I did the math using that 10% rule for increasing weekly mileage and it only took me 24 weeks considering you can run 16 km a week at the start an = a0 * (1.1^x) 140 = 14 * (1.1^x) x = about 24
Jackson Thompson
That sort of fartlec training will get you lean as hell. But you might fuck your knees at the same time. Eat a lot of protein and carbs and drink tonnes of electrolytes
Camden Walker
>But you might fuck your knees at the same time. >Im not overweight and Im planning on running on grass or dirt Also, would increasing weekly mileage by 5% be even safer in the long run? Because that would make the preparation training program (im not going to straight run 20k a day without preparing) to 48 weeks, which is a lot but not impossible to follow
>Eat a lot of protein and carbs and drink tonnes of electrolytes Is dairy enough for carbs?
William Myers
Kys reddit.
Nathaniel Sullivan
fuck you nigger
Nolan Gray
>Do I really need to if its just a 10 seconds sprint followed by 50 seconds of jogging? Since you're planning on running 120+ 100m sprints, yes
Christopher Butler
I hope every weeb tries this and further cripples themselves. You deserve it.
Kevin Lewis
>Since you're planning on running 120+ 100m sprints, yes You're considering that I'll take 44 weeks of training before that right? Each week increasing only 7% of the other kilometers
Jayden Wood
>I hope every weeb tries this and further cripples themselves. How the fuck am I going to cripple myself if I will start with 1.15 k daily 7 times a week and increase daily running by only 7% every week? I mean from 1.15km a day to 20km a day it would take 44 weeks, isnt that enough to prepare me for 20k a day?
>You deserve it. Do you know where you are? Did some weeb fuck your wife?
