Is rucking bad for you? Every military force in the world swears by this training but the Indian dyels on Yas Forums say it's bad for your joints. Who do I believe?
Is rucking bad for you...
its necessary to be comfortable moving long distances with heavy equipment as an infrantryman. i dont know why anyone who isnt in the military would subject their body to this
Rucking has been proven to cause cancer, do whatever you want
It’s good for you until it isn’t
Oh yeah, it's terrible for your joints. And make sure to wear a bra with plenty of support too, you fucking pussy
>Is rucking bad for you?
bad for your joints in the long rung
>Every military force in the world swears by this training
Because they need to carry a lot of equipment, it's not like there are better alternatives
It will irreparably damage your knees and lower spine when done regularly.
You are so cool and definitely not insecure, insulting someone on an anonymous internet forum asking for info about a practice known to damage the body.
It's bad for your joints, but do you think the military cares? These people are expected to go kill civilians in the Middle East, you think anyone cares if they get shoulder issues?
It is bad for your joints, soldiers don't ruck for the health benefits, they do it because they have to be able to carry heavy shit on foot.
With that mindset why even lift weights at all if you don't need to
>Every military force in the world swears by this training
The military doesn't give a shit about injuring people. Something like rucking can take years for the effects to become severe. The average US military member only does a 4 year enlistment and doesn't seek disability benefits from the VA. It's great training for getting used to carrying heavy shit. That doesn't mean it's not going to cripple you.
Resistance training is a completely different stimulus. Forced marches literally destroy your body, you feel like a shadow of yourself after 12-15 miles in full kit.
Every exercise damages your body, retard. That's the point; When the body heals, it heals stronger than it was previously.
>The military doesn't give a shit about injuring people
Injuring people would actually be beneficial for the armed forces since it keeps the flow of young blood constant.
>When the body heals, it heals stronger than it was previously.
Nice broscience my dude. Can't wait to see how your body heals fucked up articular surfaces.
Manual laborers should not be allowed to post here.
Read the sticky.
facts. i used to break my hands each morning now i can chop through steel
I actually am into hunting and other outdoors stuff while backpacking, which ends up involving heavy loads for long distances in rough country. I ruck some but still try to limit it and get my training in lower-impact ways where I can. Would not recommend rucking to anyone who doesn't need to do it for a specific purpose. It's hard on your body, boring, and inefficient for the time put in for any training objectives other than wanting to ruck better.
"Damaging" muscles that can fully heal themselves better than before is different from grinding the cartilage in your joints into powder.
>every military force in the world
Every ZOG military in the world*
Pro tip, fuckwit: The military, or The government, or more specifically The ZOG isn't looking out for your best interests. Rucking is used by the ZOG to turn soldiers into glorified mules, to get them used to carrying the weight of their boots on them. The ZOG does not want soldiers to be healthy or strong or aesthetic the ZOG wants those pathetic welfare queen grunt subhuman shits to be expendable animals that could be sent to the slaughterhouse at a moment's notice. Every single "vet" that i've ever seen inevitably looks like a DYEL and has some sort of mental illness. Yas Forums is a more reliable source of information for getting aesthetic, strong or fit in any way than MUH MILITARY hope that cleared things up, bucko, fuck the military and fuck the police
Okay but if that's true, why did the US military stop recommending sit-ups as an exercise? They say it's bad for your back or something. But now you say they don't care for your health. Wut?
>when the body heals
why do my joints still hurt and make funny noises when i work out then
ARMYNIGGERS BTFO
this guy gets it
my back that pops when i breathe begs to differ
ruck was never even that heavy,
Am marine. Rucking will fuck your joints, knees and back over the years, would not recommend. Does give you super human cardio tho. Do what you will.
Fuck off Yas Forums edgelord or post body
Rucking does fuck your joints. ask any vet whose been in longer than 5 years they'll tell you.
post joints, zog golem
It’s why they had wheelbarrows and horses in the past
Now you get to be the beast of burden
they also use trap bar deadlifts as a measure of strength, the people who make these decisions don't lift and essentially treat exercise as an exercise in sophistry
Trap bar deadlifts are easy and safe to do with proper form and involve a lot of important muscles. They're a great measure of strength for military purposes.
They have to do it to prepare for war. It's not good for your joints. When I was in the military we marched with heavy backpacks up hills all the time, never had problem with joints and got sick calves. But running with that weight sounds bad
I feel like you’ve never served and you’re talking out of your ass
>fuck the military and fuck the police
FUCK YEA ANARCHY 4 LYFE MY DUDE!!!
Didn't read. Who let you out of your containment board?
And I forgot to mention it was extremely painful and tiring some times
>I feel like you’ve never lifted
ftfy
Also, 90% of vets are glorified office drones. Fuck you and your service.
Do you think every lamebrain soldier in those eras just had an independent wheelbarrow? I'm genuinely curious if you believe that.
>Is sucking bad for you?
gee I dont know OP you tell me
Once again talking out of your ass because you’ve never served in any branch of the military. Thanks for your tax dollars btw.
I'm not the user you're replying to but am a current ZOGbot NCO, he's not wrong. Higher leadership is retarded.
That's weird. I was having back problems out of nowhere, at least I thought. I had given up deadlifting because I moved gyms and they only have hex plates which I hate to deadlift in. I thought I would be fine but soon after my squats started to feel off and after some months my back started to hurt to the point I couldn't squat. I also new my new commute to work of 2+ hours a day was not helping. It got so bad I couldn't put my socks on in the morning without a lot of pain and barely being able to. I tried to strengthen my lower back (that's where I felt it the most) with other exercises but it was not working. I thought about it for a while. It should have been obvious but finally I decided to just focus on my core. Started doing some sit ups, not even a lot but after just a few spaced out sit up sessions my back was sooooo much better. Prior to that my only core work was hanging leg raises but those were also very painful on my back. Now I do some sit ups whenever I can at home which amounts to maybe two times a week if that, and I'm back to squatting and deadlifting and I feel so much better. In my opinion, sit ups fixed my back. This might be specific to me though, since I spend so much time sitting in my car.
No shit, I’m talking about your stormnigger conspiracies being bullshit. Everyone with half a brain knows that military higher ups are incompetent. It’s been a reoccurring theme for thousands of years now.
This but unironically.
This. Rucks are good for burning calories but if you’re not proactive in taking care of your back you’re gonna get fucked.
>stormnigger conspiracies being bullshit
A shekel for a good guy. Keep glowing and you may reach that camaro soon.
>hurr durr good goy shekel
Like clockwork
>simping for the zog
Leaf milfag here 1 year in and I already have weird pains in my knees and back. It is very bad for you, but you have to be able to do it.
Don't join the military for the good of your health OP.
>hurr durr zog jews
More drivel
Fucked my lower back while auswitch skeleton in conscription.
>the cia does domestic operations
Who started this meme?
Doing it every day for long distances is bad for your joints, knees especially.
Doing it once or twice a week for half an hour or so as a form of cardio is fine. Especially when you're already strong in the squat and deadlift since then you're already used to much heavier loads than your pack.
Yes.
t. arthritis in knees and spinal compression thanks to the USMC
If I had to guess, part of it is that it fucking hurts and it sucks ass and it’s just fucking miserable and that’s what they want. They’re preparing you for the worst.
They didn’t have 100 pounds of shit on their back
You don’t see other vets of foreign countries addicted to pain pills since they were 30
this but unironically
They’re just retards who don’t even understand how the government runs. If I was here to shill/monitor I’d be FBI, not CIA.
the cia
look at this fucking nerd hahahahaha typical 4channer
>unironically saving and using this image
The absolute boomer mentality
