/WALL/ - Why All Lifters Lift

>Imagine actually lifting for literal holes

What do you lift for Yas Forums?

Not thread related.

If i sprint will i prevent leg muscle loss?
can't go to the gym cause this meme sickness

You might not maintain everything, but it's better than nothing

I lift because I wanna add muscle mass, so I can compete in MMA. I quit doing MMA early 2019 cuz of school, but I also sucked really hard in the Judo and Wrestling, I think it was my strength that was lacking. I know its ironic since Judo you're not supposed to use strength but its kinda bullshit, you still need to put in some amount of strength initially which I didn't have.

I wanna eventually compete professionally.

Mai waifu.
Tomorrow I'll have my first home gym workout with her.
I'm excited.

i can spot somali genes from a mile away and my entire genetic makeup is repulsed by it

Is the wall actually real bros? Do women legit just turn into goblinas all of a sudden? Does the wall apply to us bros?

after months of thinking about dming this girl I did it today and she replied and now idk what to do. I never thought I would make it this far

Wut she say king?

If I'm weak or flabby I feel like a slob and can't respect myself. I like to feel good.

For king, country and my future waif and keeds

Good reason.
Any advice on a striking backround? I'm planning on joining a muay thai or kickboxing gym later this year.

Start with boxing. You will gain a better understanding of head movement, foot work, parrying etc. Also usually cheaper and more accesible.

Depends on your goal.
>Cardio, weightloss, to get Yas Forums, or do it for the insta fit memes
Then do boxing. Defence is also more about slipping and dodging.
>General self defence
muay thai/kickboxing is gonna be the better all rounder. With muay thai the emphasis is more on kicks and defence is about taking and blocking strikes.
>Want to eventually compete in MMA
Its best to try everything, because ultimately its gonna all mesh into something different than a singular martial art. Boxing won't work anymore the higher level you go because of the dramatic difference in distancing, and the risk of takedowns (which is same with kickboxing). There'll also be techniques from other arts like karate and taekwondo that you'll want to adopt.

Personally I joined an MMA gym with a bunch of martial arts classes and tried all of them, boxing fundamentals are important to learn and add to your striking game, but after a few months I stopped because in general it messes with your overall striking, which is also what legendary coach firas zahabi recommends. So after I stuck with kickboxing/muay thai, and the rest of the grappling stuff.

its over bro after a couple msgs she just liked mine instead of replying. at least I did it

So I can be the best possible version of myself.

1. Health
2. To set a good example to my son
3. To give my skeleton a nice place to live

Based and same, I wanna do it so bad. Physically all I need is hard cut. Currently 275lb, 2/3.5/4.75/4.5, want to do steak and eggs down to Stipe weight, like 230.

Women slam into the wall at 80mph, men...try to scale the wall, and it works for a while, but the whole thing gradually crumbles and then you realize you were the wall and you break the fourth wall and say this will happen to all of you

Dude.

Don't skip out on the cardio though, trust. That's the first thing that's gonna hit like a truck when you start martial arts.

i lift for the Lord

Attached: christ-chan.jpg (1280x960, 147.32K)

At first for women. I don't even care anymore. I have a pretty good mentality all around because of it.

The only reason yoel doesnt look natty is because he has ridiculous traps. Costa on the other hand is ridiculously ambitious; he plans on being a champion in three weight divisions and for him to piss hot would be a huge detriment to that plan

I'm trying to make the Olympics in 2024 in fencing, so I'm in the gym pretty much every day

I lift to see where my genetic limit is.

I lift because I feel like shit if i dont. I’m addicted to the endorphins and i love the feeling of suffering—it makes me contemplate how much physical torture i’d be able to endure

>only reason yoel doesnt look natty is because he has ridiculous traps.
at 42 years old

She’s based. Joe can fuck off. The only reason he’s siding with the guy is because he’s afraid an ape might beat his ass in front of his girl.

>for my health
>to set an example for my frens who are sorta unfit
>so my waifu becomes proud of me

Attached: downloadfile.jpg (474x266, 31.42K)

I literally only lift because of how easy and effortless it makes it to fuck attractive women.

The reason he doesn't look natty is because he fucking isn't lmao.

To glorify my waifu through my strength.

To crush my enemies, see them driven before me and hear the lamentation of their women

BWC

Where's your diddle at, hUMPer?

212x3. Stalled on 214x3 for the last 3 weeks. Deloading to 200kg and adding in some RDLs; hopefully I can break through the plateau without changing my programming too much - squats and presses are still going up smoothly so I don't want to fuck with things too much.

You having all this fun in a home gym or are you blessed with a clean commercial gym?

Luckily I have a homegym, so I'm safe. Though, I'm an Aussie, I don't think we've started closing gyms just yet.

Fuck, he’s so right.

based and Manowar pilled

Very nice.
Stay safe brother.

Thanks mate. You too. I hope you've got somewhere comfy to train until this mess gets sorted out.

For my queen

for glory, i want to be the best rugby player at my club. honestly, yeah bitches are fun and games and its cool to get your dick wet but I have never gotten the same satisfaction I have from absolutely outclassing somebody playing a sport. Whether its a cross-over in basketball, you get a guy to follow your rhythm... you dribble slow and high 6 times luring him in for an easy steal, then all of a sudden a fast dribble and an explosive step to your right, he's already a step behind because he's thinking about stealing from that slow dribble.. then he chases you right.. but you've gone left, and now he has to go left and then you've gone right and he's left in the dust. You've single-handedly outsmarted and out maneuvered another equal grown man.

I enjoy training because I enjoy winning, when you get on the field/court/pitch whatever it is nothing in the world matters. It doesn't matter that he's richer than you, cooler than you, knows more people, scores more chicks or even matters if he's bigger/stronger and faster than you.. if you show up that day and outclass him no past accolade will count for shit. It's the closest thing we have to survival of the fittest in this modern age and I fucking thrive off of that feeling of knowing that I put the work in and that I'm good enough as somebody who has nothing to best somebody who seemingly has it all. No animosity toward the other guy, I commend him for playing but it's a good confidence boost when you see your hard work rewarded. Sport is the closest thing to a level playing field we have.

Yes but it has to be INTENSE.distances recommended 10m,20m,40m.

Your heart has to feel like it's going to RIP and explode .

try intensities at 50 (warm up), 70% and 80 and of course main sets higher than 90%.

You should feel great hamstring strain if you're doing it right

t. failed father and drug addict

trying to reach the point where I can lift these feels

I like being more athletic than others, and its fun watching weight i used to struggle with get easier and easier

lol drugs, you just need to clean your room

>does drugs
>gets addicted
>doesn't clean his room
>rehab? No, I'm going to freeze myself
>why? No idea, it's never even been tried for my addiction
>literally falls for snake-oil peddling nonsense and rejecting modern science
>literally anti-vaxxer logic
>fucking neurological damage

>most 50 IQ drug addicts will never act so stupid getting help
>shoulda cleaned his room

to kill

Having to admit this, even anonymously, fills me with a great sense of shame that is almost nauseating, but here goes.

There have been 2 or 3 crucial moments in my life where I have bitched out of confrontation, and I lift/train because I am disgusted with my own historic weakness and realise there will come a time where it will become of the utmost importance to stand your ground, and I *never* want to be that weak when such a time comes.

Attached: 17.jpg (600x600, 42.33K)

nothing shameful about realizing your weaknesses and working on fixing them.
though shying away from confrontations is more of a mental than a physical problem.

based. my motivation for training is that i want to win the national championship in armwrestling. im gonna attend my first tournament this year in the amateur class. the following year i want to compete with the pros. not a whole lot of armwrestlers in my country so I might be able to pull it of
