bros i have no pullup bars and no possible way of putting one since my walls are made of paper can i just do DB rows like a madman instead?

Yeah, but pull ups will always be superior. Go outside and find a tree or something. Use your imagination.
Asher Wilson
>squat rack >nice to have
John Barnes
>vertical press >inverted vertical press >no horizontal press It'll probably work, but one arm pushups are pretty boss.
Hudson Gutierrez
One armed push ups are just a really awkward and unnatural movement. If you want to make push ups harder its better to go down the psuedo planche push up route. Basically just a normal push up but with your hands moved downwards
Hudson Nguyen
>rings very useful >bench why not You absolute crossfit nigger retard. Here's a fix.
>essential equipment Barbell Pl8s Bench Squat rack Some mats for diddlies Pull-up bar
>nice to have Every other piece of actual weightlifting equipment
>for the dyel gays Crossfit shit
Juan Hughes
>rings are crossfit
You can get an effective workout without a powerrack. For the short term its better to spend $40 on a pull up bar and rings for your apartment than to splash out on an entire home gym
>essential equipment >Pull up bar >tfw can't even do a single pullup
Jacob Reed
Do negatives or jackknife pull ups
Jason Reyes
Imagine unironically believing you need all of this equipment just to work out
Fitness industry really pulled a number on you eh
Jason Turner
i don’t want to ruin my doorway in my apartment, what’s the reasonable limit of body weight for considering a pull up bar?
Wyatt Long
>jackknife pull ups thanks, haven't heard of this yet
Daniel Wilson
I'm 70kg and I do pull ups with 30kg attached on mine, doorframe seems fine so far. I imagine it depends heavily on the quality of build though.
Gavin Kelly
i first got one in 2007 and it said the max limit was 210 lbs. i was 15 and 120lbs at the time so i didn't think i'd ever have to worry about it, but now i'm 220 and it still seems to hold up okay
Noice. Wish I had a vest. I have like 9kgs in plates and I have to put them in a gym bag or backpack to do weighted pull-ups lmao
Oliver Jackson
I have pullup bar but nothing else. I'm thinking of buying a barbell of amazon then ebaying some shitty plates. Do you guys think its ok to substitute back squat for cleans in the short-term, or should i try and build a sketchy rack in my garage? Also, whats the best way to avoid cracking iron plates and minimizing noise when doing cleans? im thinking duffle bags filled with pillows or a bunch of blankets
Kind of hard because you would have to do tons of cleans to get an effective leg work out. Squat rack + barbell is your best option. Failing that grab a plate and do some weighted pistols.
Nathan Parker
db rows are no match for pullups
Anthony Wright
Dipping belt + plates > weighted vest
Evan Flores
what i did today weighted chin ups 5x5 weighted bodyweight ring row 4-5sets 6-10 reps 1 arm dumbbell rows 3-4sets 10-14 reps 1 arm dumbbell curl 3-4 sets 8-10 reps
Tomorrow push day will be doing 2 push up variations, handstand push ups, 1 arm dumbbell presses and i'll see if i can do some sort of chest flies with a band thing i got. Some lateral raises and then triceps extensions. I got a lot to improve on both pull ups and push ups so i might actually get some gains on this period where gym is closed.
we all gonna make it
mirin. Pull up bar+ rings is godlike combo
Tyler Parker
>adjustable dumbbells on the way >pullup bar >dip belt >parallettes
Won't probably do pullups at home since I have one of those parks nearby with dip bars etc. Actually waiting for what kind of progress I'm going to get the next couple of months. I was planning to add some calisthenics movements to my training routine in May but now is as good as ever.
Jason James
>be 6'2 lanklet >have a low ceiling >traditional pullups aren't really an option for me
are there any alternative exercises that I can do that will work the same muscles?
Go to a local park! Wear gloves if you're worried about getting sick! Itd not to bad around this time so that's what I'm doing for a pullup bar! Also get a doorway trx like thing and that could double as a gymnastic rings
Cooper Turner
Tuck your knees to your chest while you do them for added abs gains
Brody Perez
Was thinking about doing dips on my balcony although it's not a parallel grip and obviously a v-shape. Does anyone think this could still be used effectively?
Well they just shut down all of the goddamn gyms due to disease risk and I have no equipment in my apartment at all. The floor is a goddamn drum so I can't do shit like jumping jacks without driving the downstairs neighbor batty. Are there any bodyweight routines that would be acceptable using just furniture and the floor?
This sucks, I had finally turned the gym into a habit rather than a chore and they shut them all down.
You can still pretty much work out your full body, pulling exercises are just gonna be real hard without a pull up bar. Go down the park or something.
Benjamin Price
Not him but I don't think using a pull-up bar at a park is safe with all this corona-chan thing. I work out at the park all the time but I think I'm gonna pass and use the one I have at home. Sucks that I can't do muscle ups at home.
Angel Moore
Can't you just wear gloves or take some anti-bac wipes?
Eli Morgan
Traps are gay anyways. Maybe I should go for a twunk look
Parker Turner
Gloves might be a no-no because you'll most likely touch your face unconsciously. Anti bacterial wipes sound good but I guess it's gonna be a pain in the ass training this way.
Brandon Sanchez
>minimal equipment
Julian Perry
needs some pl8s
Kayden Walker
My numbers are skewed. I bought the bar and a set of each (2 45s, 35s, 25s, 10s, 5s, 2.5s) for $100. Guy was def selling stolen shit from his apt.
Aiden Sanders
Oh shit luck dude, mirin your gym though.
Parker Sanders
home bench is risky business user

>have a great pullup bar and dip station I built in my backyard >can't use it because it's still -5C out Fuckkkkk. I have a dip belt, weight plates and rings but it's too fucking cold to workout outside. I've been trying to find an indoor calisthenics stations but can't seem to find one for some reason. Literally just something like for or 5 pipes welded together I can put in my garage
Nolan Allen
>warm up a lot >wear thick clothes
not that hard user
