Count calories, all of them.
Calculate your TDEE at sedentary
Buy scales, be accurate in your measurements
Learn how to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 1g per lb of goal body weight.
Do cardio. Even if its just walking, cardio will improve your health which is sorely needed. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can off set the risks.
Lift weights. This will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat. You don't want this.
Post your height/weight/screenshot of MFP/Cronometer food log when asking for advice

Eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calorie count
Eat processed foods, or at least try to avoid if possible
Drink your calories. Alcohol, soda, hot chocolate, fancy starbucks shit. forget it.
Freak out over a stall in weight loss. Plateaus can last up to three weeks.
"Reward" yourself.
Be a retard.

Gyms in my town have all closed down and my exercise bike broke so I'm going to start doing HIIT and beginner calisthenics to compensate until this whole epidemic fucks off. What exercises will you be doing at home and which is your favorite form of exercising? Mine is cycling, both outside and on the exercise bike

I got a treadmill and have been using it everyday, if not twice a day and it's been great. Really helped get my fitness up. Been thinking of getting a home gym set up and having a pt come in to help me get used to everything as I wanna get my strength up. Having my own house set up really removed a lot of blockades I had built up around exercising (I live in a shitty neighborhood, gyms are expensive etc)

I've been trying some wall pushups because my arms aren't strong enough to do a real pushup, but i've been worried about doing them, because i've noticed my shoulder have been aching quite a bit and i still struggle to do them 2 weeks in

I wasted several months because I stopped calorie counting.

Fuck I could be 150 lbs now if I just carried on counting.

It literally only takes 10 seconds to input food into myfitnesspal and 5 seconds to weight food.

I didn't count calories because I wanted an excuse to eat more.

Today I didn’t eat breakfast and had bean pasta with bolognaise for lunch, it has 57g of protein. I have no idea how to eat a big amount of protein if not with things like that, and I don’t want to eat that every day.

I ate some of moms oreo pudding cake with extra whipped cream on it.

It wasn't enough so I added crumbled heath bar ontop of it and some caramel drizzle. I feel bad about my decisions.

It’s gonna take a lot longer. I’ve been consistently doing push-ups daily and I can knock out ~20-25 in a set and do that 3-6 times a day with rests.

Point being for a while it was ~10 and even that was hard. Stick with it lad.

What are you eating and how much walking are you doing? I can probably guess how much you've lost so far.

Raisins, roasted nuts, apples, clemintines, I cheated yesterday with Chinese food when I went out with a fren ( yea I know ) but I read you can do such once a week.

Was 270 when started last week, walk 30-40 minutes in the mornings at normal pace. Gonna start minor lifitfing tommrow along with it

Eat some oats and carrots, get the potassium you need in, don't neglect your own health for gains.

Eating like a fatass once a week is only acceptable if you burn it off the same day. Good deit desu, add beans or something for more protein, you aren't getting enough of some things like anom above said, probably why your body is revolting against you.

Forgive me, father...After being on 1500 calories for a week, I had double of that yesterday because I wanted to eat junk food before the epidemic started to become serious. I am going to stop eating junk food because of how disgusting and unsatisfying it was

good luck bros. 6ft, starting at 245, I'm down about 12 lbs from mid January, was hoping to do a hard 2lbs/week but I'll take what I can get. food is my vice. I'm getting better at the binging - i simply CANNOT buy snacks/sweets/etc at the grocery store - I'll eat it all that night. trying to walk daily, now introducing biking, and keeping up with occasional light lifting.
