Count calories, all of them.
Calculate your TDEE at sedentary
Buy scales, be accurate in your measurements
Learn how to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 1g per lb of goal body weight.
Do cardio. Even if its just walking, cardio will improve your health which is sorely needed. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can off set the risks.
Lift weights. This will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat. You don't want this.
Post your height/weight/screenshot of MFP/Cronometer food log when asking for advice

Eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calorie count
Eat processed foods, or at least try to avoid if possible
Drink your calories. Alcohol, soda, hot chocolate, fancy starbucks shit. forget it.
Freak out over a stall in weight loss. Plateaus can last up to three weeks.
"Reward" yourself.

how quickly do you guys think i can ramp up my time on the exercise bike?
when i first got it i went straight for an hour a day and messed my dodgy knee up a bit.
i'm now doing 30 minutes without any trouble and really want to go for an hour.

Hit 91.7 kg (202 lbs) today, starting from ~155 kg about a year ago (340 lbs. Shouldn't be too long until I get to normal weight.

Personally I couldn't do 30 minutes when I started. Now I ride 3-4 hour trips with a real bike on the regular. Keep at it, it pays off.

Made it through today lads. Went to a ufc event with a buddy where I usually would pregame and get stupid drunk, then gorge myself on nachos and candy and shit. Today I hit the gym, ate a broccoli + chicken rice bowl, had one beer during the fights and made myself a ham sandwich once I got home to wrap up the day. Fought off so many temptations to get fast food/binge once I got home too. It’s little victories like this that push me to keep going. Thanks for reading my blog

BMI doesn't seem to be a great indicator, since I can get to 125lbs at 5'8" and still be considered the low end of "normal weight" at 19 BMI. I don't even have that much extra muscle yet. I'm not even sure if it's even possible for me to get to that weight without losing muscle kek. Like I'm already getting abs visible at 150lbs. Pretty sure I'd be in the single digits BF% way before hitting 125lbs.

Do keto threads not exist anymore? Anyway I know that I'm essentially avoiding any sweeteners that aren't Stevia/Erythritol and apparently Allulose is awesome too but there's all those hidden sugars that I keep getting worried about having go under then radar and mess me over.
