I’ve been lifting since the end of last year and I’ve been doing 3-4 sets of 6-8 reps, but on my last set of any particular exercise I do reps until failure. Is this good, bad or negligible to gains? (*´ω`*)

are you growing or staying the same?

that is the answer to your question

quads decides whether or not i buy those pants and wear them to the gym

I’ve been getting stronger, but my appearance isn’t changing but I haven’t been lifting for long so I guess I shouldn’t expect too much in the way of appearance changes?

you could do a month of 10-12 reps and see how it feels. just sayin

negligible. hypertrophy happens between 4 and 0 reps from failure. 4 reps from failure provides a good bit less of a hypertrophy stimulus than 0, but the difference between 1 and 0 is small. it's a misconception that if you go balls to the wall and train like a totally badass spartan warrior hero king then you will get these crazy gains. it actually doesn't have to be that hard. the place where most of your willpower should be applied is sticking to your diet, forcing yourself to go to the gym when you really don't want to and keeping consistent, not in trying to squeeze out shaky reps. this isn't to say that training to failure isn't ever appropriate but it's nowhere close to necessary.

The quad God demands it

It may be so
