I don't want to go to another gym. I'm gonna keep my subscription going to support them while they get back up and running.
What is some fun non-gym fitness stuff I could do? I'm thinking boxing gym, skateboarding, or just getting into a mobility and intervals routine to increase my flexibility and prep for another strength phase. Good non-gym summer prep?
Looks like the dumbbells and curl bars are still in good shape. Get your ass in there and lift.
Daniel Green
Help them move debris and rebuild. Isn't this why you've been training your muscles? Fucking roll up with work gloves, a water bottle, and don't take no for an answer.
Looks like cellulose insulation. Op needs to bring a dust mask too.

yeah but I kinda want to take this opportunity to do some work outside of a gym environment. Take a break and work on... running? mobility? who knows. I've been training for so long, time to use my body for something fun.
Plus, I've been at several gyms in the past years, and this one is--hands down--the best one I've ever been a member of. Bros, 8 fucking squat racks. 8.
Nathan Sullivan

but its not a random area, its the gym you go to. Helping is what people who socialize do, you make connections and friends with people and if a disaster outside their hands hits them you lend your hand in aid. That's what friends do, that's what being a productive member of society does. I'm not telling you to go over to the Kmart and single handily fix rebuild their store, I'm saying give your friends at the gym a hand.

A tornado will tear apart most structures, no matter the material. There's no reason in building a highly rigid, more expensive structure if nature will destroy it anyways. That doesn't excuse our design though... Most of the US isn't in tornado alley, but they still design it with cheap materials, 2x4s, plywood, screws/nails, and drywall. If I had to make a guess as to why, I'd say it's because we have better access to wood, and a lot of houses get demo'd as well to make room for new highways/retail.
