it didn't mean a cure though, that was a big part of the reason it was a vague ending was that the cure was not a 100% guarantee and ellie very well may have died for nothing instead of just letting immune children repopulate the wastes.

Ellie is a child who doesn't know any better and Joel has a much keener insight into human relations and reality given his experiences; he does what a parent would do. Good writing. You have to kill him, since he prevents you from moving forward towards Ellie. He's the only one though you have to kill, iirc you can get trough the hospital without killing anyone else.

alright for as much as i already hate the character, my biggest issue is we don't actually get any time with her to care about her. she shows up, murders joel, and we're supposed to feel any sympathy for her after being filled with hate. if there was an entire, middle game between this showing off abby's story first and THEN we get a third game that starts off with a dead joel, i'd maybe care about this character. but dropping her and having her axe the OG then fucking drop the successor like a ton of bricks is stupid. theres nothing to care about with her there. we got to see joel's life, we got to see the dynamic with him and ellie, we got to see them be people. we see nothing with abby other than sheer roid rage. she has nothing

Ellie probably massacres her bf and the rest before that too bad you can't finish the job.
