shogun2 is without a debut the shittiest total war

not really, I honestly struggle to name a faction that doesn't have a unique unit.
Maybe England plays similar to France but every faction has unique troops, strengths and weaknesses.

realistically shogun 2 only has 2 runs for each pack

total wars are all piss easy and are only as hard as you make them. a lot of the fun is in conquering the world with different playstyles and otomo is definitely very different from other armies.

don't play them as archers, fire volleys while the enemy infantry is moving towards you (enemy will always go on the offensive because of the cannons) and then charge and beat them on the melee

Age of Charlemagne, i just like the time period and the fact that we have a real life paladin unit.

TWWH2, so many races, extremely different playstyles that are thematic, both on campaign map and battle map. not really another comprehensive warhammer game out there.

how can you guys stand to play skaven, though? i guess if i was really into their lore, but omg constantly wrangling routing and rerouting units sounds tedious as fuck. i cant even stand fighting against them unless i'm a faction that's also fast like wood elves or beastmen. (speaking of which both welves and beastmen desperately need updates/new lords)
