New scenes are mostly clips from the final fight between Abby and Ellie. Nothing really noteworthy except that the tranny moves like a fucking gorilla and literally smashes through walls like they are nothing. The only new "reveals" are that you play as Joel during the opening (scripted horse riding sequence, no combat), that Abby's mexican lover literally spits on Joel's body after he dies, and that shortly after Joel is murdered you play as Abby during this goofy, light hearted sequence where she shoots targets with a plastic bow and nerf arrows.
Oh, and the group Abby is part of has a fully functional modern day gym, and when she walks past it the people inside loudly comment about how none of them can lift as much as she can.

Owen's the one who saves Ellie's life and is the only one who clearly isn't a dumb jackass in that entire group, Abby's dipshit self included. If we come to like him only to see Ellie brutally slaughter his ass via Abby's perspective, it might be a bit more salvageable.

Nothing about this setting makes sense. You also have the military still existing, being highly professional and fully equipped and yet they seem to only control a city or two decades later despite their territory being so much nicer than anywhere else. Why are there cannibal clans running around when the military is there and they have safe cities and aren't even a bad place to live?

watching the leaked video now. Joel is explaining what happened with Ellie and the Fireflies to Tommy and he says "because of her they were gonna make a cure" apparently retconning the fact that the fireflies had no idea what the fuck they were doing and it had been tried before.

I'm pretty sure Ellie's levels are her killing that group one by one. The extended scene where Joel dies makes sure to show all of their faces and they are all unique looking characters.

Also they retconned it so that Joel didn't just kill the one doctor. He killed every single firefly and doctor around. He killed literally everyone, as opposed to the original where you kill the one doctor with a knife and then take her and run away.

I'm so sick of Druckmann's games man. Already ruined Uncharted 4 by trying to make you feel bad for adventuring instead of working a boring 9-to-5 to support your boring ass wife. Except it didn't work Druckmann since Nate has no choice, his brother is gonna die if he doesn't come help.
And now, once again, he fails. At the end of TLOU it's stated there's only a chance Ellie's sacrifice will cure the human race. Of course you'd try and save her when there's no guarantee.
