The online sucks. the replay value is low and the campaign is already short to begin with. not a good buy at this point.

It does but not for bosses, they will SA break after 6 or so jabs. Enemies are much more aggressive this time around and have very specific attacks which will and won't work against them. Like, enemies will very, very consistently antiair your jump ins if they are the right type. They don't give you nearly as much time to try and infinite them. It's kind of jarring how large all of the humans are and so part of getting used to this game is feeling out range. Animations seem a bit longer and enemies will just come up behind you as you are finishing your kicks and just bop you.

He isn't 100% wrong. Sound design is below what it should be and they do kind of abuse super armor for enemies. I am fine with the rest and I think he is underrating the difference in how combat works. I do agree as well that stages aren't really balanced well difficulty-wise. The second stage in general is way harder than any of the other first 5.

Nu Axel doesn't have the infinite, they drop out after 5 punches. Otherwise, so far so good.

I heard you can unlock story mode Max as a playable character, rather then just his retro pixel version.

Is the game at least challenging on the hardest difficulty? Would it take a while to grind through that? Is it enjoyable enough to grind for the 1CC? If so how long would that take?

The game is pretty on par with the other games in terms of difficulty

the framerate is really low and gets progressively worse but the levels are so short it's playable. barely. difficulty is fine although

Thinking about getting the Switch version if only to more easily bring it and a pro controller over a friends house to play Co Op.

-lots of unlockable shit instead of release-day DLCs
-if you prefer the brighter colours of the first trailer, you can change it via settings

Im playing on hardest. You only get 2 lives. And the knife guys hitboxes are fucked. They hit you from every angle

Estel, Diva, and Blaze are great designs for sure

the knife guys are gigantic faggots. getting juggled off those weird hitboxes when there are two of them on the screen feels bad man.

Fighting weapon carrying enemies on a diagonal is incredibly annoying and bosses are a slog... that second boss grabbed me out of the air so many times I stopped trying to dodge it. I was only playing on normal, I'd imagine on harder difficulties that the boss encounters would take close to 15min with all that extra health.

Fun, but I don't want to be punching one enemy for a third of the time I spent getting through the stage just to fight them.

Do the difficulties affect the enemy layout?

I'm vomiting at the thought of playing this on the Switch. Joycons are shit and the pro controller's d-pad is awful.

p sure it affects number of enemies. on Hardest+ you fight two Commissioners in the second Estel fight, but I've heard anons here say you fight one on lower difficulties.
