it's crazy when you think about it. each tiny little change to an organism basically takes an entire lifetime. so you only start to see differences between species after thousands upon thousands of generations. this shits been going on for more than 500 million years. that's such an insanely long time it's just mind boggling. imagine how many generations it would take for small changes to accumulate to the point where humans look nothing like we are today. it took hundreds of thousands of years just to get slightly bigger heads. it would take millions of years for us to look completely alien. yet this is exactly what's been going on for hundreds of millions of years.
