Is this the normal price for a regular xbox controller? Why the fuck are they so expensive
Is this the normal price for a regular xbox controller? Why the fuck are they so expensive
because of all the games you can pl- oh
the first one is a customized color scheme which costs slightly more and the second is the super high-end controller that is deliberately expensive
Yeah I would not purchase a controller at this price, just to play such a lackluster library
>Buy a wireless controller
>Doesn't come with a cheap small wire to charge it
Thx
The white one is $59.99
Am I really expected to pay 60 bucks for a controller?
>once you get the cord
>it comes with a micro-USB port that breaks at the smallest nudge
>have to wrap the controller with a rubber band just to keep contact
trash
it's worse in Europe
That's been the standard price of them since the 7th gen dude
I wore out the thumbstick on my elite 1 controller and was thinking about getting an elite 2. Any of you fagtrons have one? Is it more robust than the first?
That's wild. I haven't had a console since the original xbox but wanted a controller to play PC games. $60 seems crazy expensive to me for one
There is no point in buy these now, because next gen is coming and those controllers will be better for the same price
$60 has been the standrad price for console controllers since PS3 days. This is nothing new. OEM Console controllers are worth every penny. No $30 budget controller ever compares.
Also PCfags keep on doing this and it makes me laught
>Blow 1k on gaymen computer
>Cant justify another $60 for what is an essential peripheral. for a lot of games
Makes no fucking sense .
Most of those parts are priced that way for a reason.
Controllers being that expensive doesn't make sense. Then again they're adding dumb shit like LEDs, microphones, and speakers. I don't see why a controller needs that shit but fuck us I guess.
Controllers are good for platformers and racing, thats about it. Its just an accessory to some and essential to others so not everyone sees it as a worthwhile purchase.
I got a wireless xbone controller, the official microsoft one, for $25 on black friday. I use it to play all my PC games because it is the best most comfortable controller mankind has ever devised. I don't even own an xbone. Be less retarded.
The quality cant be denied. I have a hard time imagining how the elite controller is worth another $90 because the standard bone controller is already literally perfect.
>Controllers are good for platformers and racing, thats about it
And third person non-FPS action games. And literally all emulation. And anything else where you want to lean back and have a good time instead of hunching over your greasy desk like a pimply unwashed stereotype. And you act like action games and platformers aren't a HUGE segment of the games worth playing. Honestly RTS and FPS are the only genres worth ruining your back posture and using KBM.
I'm playing GTA 5 on a keyboard and mouse now and it's a huge pain in the ass
It isn't
>lean back and have a good time instead of hunching over your greasy desk like a pimply unwashed stereotype.
Haha so funny
>tfw 80 dollar controllers will be the norm soon
J U S T
Get it used or wait for the end of the year sales when they're $35 for new ones.
my friend got that expensive one. Seemed like good quality until playing Sekiro for a few hours. The shoulder buttons are very flimsy!
And the sudden disconnects if you are using it wireless.
Controllers start at around 60 bucks.
However, unlike with PS4, third party Xbox controllers that go for half that price are readily available.
that's about the starting price for all controllers now. But you can get lucky and find one for cheaper sometimes
How good are 3rd party controllers? I have a hard time believing these $20 chink knockoffs are any good
hes probably buying it for PC you indenutred retard
bought mine during black friday years ago with the wireless adapter for pc and a charging kit for 35 bucks. i don't really know
its legit the best controller I've ever owned, I dont think this shit could ever break or stop working.
Xbox Series X would be an instant-buy for me, if it included the Elite controller without any significant additional price.
What makes the Elite controller better aside from the back triggers?
elite controller is good, but honestly i don't even use the paddles. probably should've just bought a normal one
You can tell someone is a PCnewfag when they bitch about peripherals, back in the DOOM days, everyone wanted to use gamepads on their PCs but had to settle with shitty joysticks and serial interfaces.
Post your PC's operating system.
I've been paranoid about this happening to mine too so I started using those magnetic tips instead
+50 dollars for batteries
adjustable trigger pull distance
adjustable stick tension
3 profiles + default profile for button mappings
hybrid dpad
USB C
40hr rechargeable lithium ion battery
textured grips
textured triggers
comes with replaceable sticks to change stick height and design
comes with standard replaceable dpad
comes with 3 months of game pass ultimate
You can swap out the D-pad and thumbsticks and shit, plus custom-calibrate how hard you have to pull for the triggers and whatnot.
It also feels like money.
>supporting Sony's absolute shit tier rechargeable batteries
Jesus fucking Christ, user.
>wireless is good bro you just hate progress
HEY REMEMBER WHEN CONTROLLERS WERE FUCKING 20 DOLLARS NOT THE PRICE OF A BRAND NEW GAME
Imagine buying xbone controllers lmao
They've always felt like cheap pieces of shit when I hold them, and I've never had any issue using a ps4 controller on PC for certain games
finally put a battery in there, huh
Some of them are actually pretty decent for 30 bucks.
Feels good to be a PS4 Chad
Oh and a nice carrying case, with wireless charging built into said case
it's basically a collectors edition for a controller
>for certain games
lol
idk the new xbox controllers looked worse and boring
DS4s are 60$ too you dumb nigger. All controllers are overpriced as fuck now.
I'll never understand this. User replaceable batteries are always, ALWAYS better than something you can't replace without voiding the warranty. You guys got fucking brainwashed.
fuck that, it just means planned obsolescence and cordcucking when it dies. rechargeable aas are objectively better
>i got the xbone controller for PC on offer for 45 bucks
easily the best controller in the you can get for less than 100 bucks
the ergonomics, response time over bluetooth and the overall compatibilty with different platforms outweigh the removable AA battery debacle and the lack of a micro USB cable in the box(i mean at this point anyone who games has one of those laying around anyway)
>worse and boring
it's the same controller with more features you idiot
ninty charges at least 80 for a controller with no fucking analog triggers
really nigga
If you're playing PC get an 8bitdo
Any recommendations for a controller for playing Rocket League? Feels like I've hit my limit using a keyboard and mouse
