Disappointingly easy fight. It was very pretty to watch but having a boss fight of such significance boil down to "you remember the input for Lightning Reversal, right?" was pretty shitty.

people love surprisingly easy bosses with a cool unique thing to them, evidence is demon's souls lol.

Are there any other boss fights like these? Where the boss is less of an actual gameplay challenge and more of a spectacle? Especially when the enemies and bosses leading up to it have been challenging.

Absolute kino. And the fucking buildup... Unparalalled, best gimmick fight in years.
>genichiro trained with tomoe and often observed the peak of Mountain and lightning with jelaousy
>you actually go there, into devine realm
>you progress higher and higher, up into the sky, past the palace, up the mountain
>wet pavement, lightning everywhere, story clouds, sakura and a grave of a devotee
>you go into realm
>fight literall cancerous dragon wanabees
>after that, sakura blooms and the true devine dragon emerges
>he Is one armed, just like you
>you defeat him and get his tears, as a devine gift of a literall god
Fucking insane level of kino, I swear. The sheer spirit of adventure. It doesnt bother me that the fight Is easy, other bosses compensate for that. It's like a Wonderfull high art theatre play with a masterful crescendo.

>devine

This. Demon's Souls has the shittiest and easiest boss roster in the series, yet some people think it's the best boss roster in the series

>Fool's Idol
>Adjudicator
>Phalanx
>Dragon God
>Maiden Astraea
>Storm King
>Leechmonger
>Dirty Colossus
>implying any of these bosses are hard or good

I'm a balt russkie, dont judge.

yeah there's the big snek earlier in the game

>Adjudicator
>Dragon God
>Leechmonger
>Dirty Colossus
I don't think anybody has ever claimed these are hard or good

it was kino. it honestly was.

Nah. It had like 3-4 moves and the entire fight is procedural. There is no creativity or room for fighting the boss differently.

>grapple to the appropriate pillar and do the thunder attacks
>occasionally avoid super telegraphed attacks
>his second phase is him sperging out (which is probably the only challenging phase of the entire fight)
>then you repeat the same pillar grappling routine

At least with shit fights like Wolnir or Greatwood in Dark Souls 3, you can choose the order you break the obvious weakspots and have the fight feel a bit different every time. This Divine Dragon is just shit boss, shit replayability.

it would have been cool if it wasn't holding a balloon animal

because it's fun the first time and i rarely play through more than once

Yeah fuck bosses that require you to think or play differently. I personally prefer dark souls 3's bosses, which are much suited to the gameplay:
> "Press circle right before the attack hits" boss
> "Press circle right before the attack hits" boss
> "Press circle right before the attack hits" boss
> "Press circle right before the attack hits" boss
> "Press circle right before the attack hits" boss
And my personal favorite boss that closed off the entire series
> The "Press circle right before the attack hits" boss except he one-shots you and has 10 million HP

Not really sure why people liked bosses like tower knight that required understanding of the boss arena and new mechanics to win, or fool's idol that required you to explore outside the boss arena to figure out how to defeat her. It just doesn't make sense.

You are forgiven.

Don't forget.
>Wait for a flurry of blows to finish up so you can get 3-4 hits in and then wait for the next flurry of blows to finish up.
Dark Souls 3's boss design fucking sucked.

Hands down the best gimmick boss fight From has ever made.

>learn super powerful ultimate lightning technique
>any yahoo can hop in the air and deflect it back to you

What a worthless fucking skill.

Which fights are you even talking about psychos

>Wait for a flurry of blows to finish up so you can get 3-4 hits in and then wait for the next flurry of blows to finish up.
Is this pontiff fight or what, speak like a normal person.

>Nips are so fucking dumb they don't realise the seven branched sword had a hilt on it
>Hurr u hold it by the tang!

Send me some of your baltic birch and you are forgiven

He didn't play ds3 and being vague so you can't refute his point

Came out of nowhere. Too randomly and disconnected from the game. Sekiro's 2nd half is mess just like Dark Souls 1.

When I was doing this fight I was thanking gods for playing on PC. Just imagining the fight with no proper freelook made me cringe.

>KINO

Out of nowhere? you fucking retard, you are brought into this mountain village by some walking stick thing and then you fight some immortal monk with a centipede in its head and then some huge carp appears and has some human face. you just want to complain because it wasnt another humanoid boss.

>you just want to complain because it wasnt another humanoid boss.
Nice try, I won't bite.

Only just noticed the sword the dragon wields is the same as the protagonist's demon slaying blade from Nioh 2

>Which fights are you even talking about psychos
Gundyr 1 and 2
Abyss Watchers
Pontiff
Dancer
Friede
Gael
Soul of Cinder

The rest are all "Dodge big slow swings and counter 1-3 hits"
Dark Souls 3 has the least interesting boss design of any modern From Software game.

I loved this fight. even though it was easy I think that’s the point. this seemed like the developers were giving the player a reward for making it this far rather than wanting to make it difficult. and it worked

Sekiro is the obvious best From game and fuck anyone who says otherwise.

High iq post
This is also the first gimmick boss that was fun, even if it was easy they wanted spectacle over challenge. Sword Saint was kino for the final boss
