also, its just amazing that this thing runs yknow it also runs on fucking windows 98 valve was CRAZy back in the day
Christopher Allen
Xbox Port of Doom 3 also works quite a lot of tech-magic.
Carson Walker
is it fun?
Cooper Anderson
also i heard theres a splitscreen mode in doom3 on xbox im wondering is that even playable or is it just a framerate chug a thon like goldeneye and PD are?
Thomas Parker
I did my first playthrough of Morrowind on the Xbox and I expected constant crashes and sub 15 fps. It only crashed once after I was level 40 on Solslthiem. The fps was higher than expected and even in the 40+ level indoors. I'm honestly shocked at how well it ran. Had a blast too.
Brayden Perez
this, light effects are good.
Xavier Cruz
I used to be a PC gamer
i honestly think caring about framerates just ruined games for me
the more i stop caring about the framerate, the more fun i have again
people who are insistent on 60fps are such tards honestly, but I understand why. 60fps is better, but if you care too much about framerate it spoils all the fun of the actual GAME EXPERIENCE
you kinda stop forgetting about the story and characters and shit
yet you can adjust to a bad framerate in less than 20 minutes, lol?
Joseph Hall
OG Doom 3 is so much better than the remaster
Asher Peterson
I still have my copy too, but this game was never on 360, only original xbox
Elijah Lopez
sour grapes
John Davis
hl2 is part of orangebox for 360
Dylan Cooper
BFG edition turned doom 3 from a clunky survival horror with areas so dark some you just didn't even want to enter - into a shitty shooter with so much ammo you didnt even have to conserve oh yeah and the fucking flashlight on the suit change WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING
Kevin Jones
eh?
Juan Scott
I see, which is better the 360 one or og xbox version?
Robert Price
if you enjoyed playing it on xbox original any time after 2007, then just play xbox again the xbox 360 version has heaps of motion blur, though it does look pretty then again, you might enjoy it if you're not bothered and can play any framerate you can't bunnyhop in the xbox 360 version, they patched it out of the game by that time
its kinda just like pick your poison yknow you can play the PC version with a controller too but its a bitch to set up and it still feels kinda weird after
Josiah Thomas
bump

>you can bhop >but the frame PACING is good You barely can because of the inconsistent frame pacing which means your inputs aren't read A better thing to bring up would be that you can prop fly (and you can so reliably)
>You barely can because of the inconsistent frame pacing sorry to say this but git gud literally also remap your buttons
if you're really struggling, you can also use claw grip on the B button or black to have full look movement while bhopping it works great for pussying out of areas and skipping large segments even if you can't find an arangement to look while jumping also, bhopping in hl2 is literally as easy as press jump button, then press jump button again. come back to me when youve ABH'ed in the PS3 version of hl2, then we'll talk.
Brandon Williams
Half Life 2 was a great port. Loved playing that on Xbox.
Daniel Lewis
Ok, cheers, I'll stick with the og
Brody Cook
lol nigga dont make me make a webm
literally boot up your exbax and try and try again until you can get it down right it wont be as good as on PC, but it is possible
Hunter Powell
if you have a 360, theres a demo of hl2 episode 2 on the xbox games store
download the demo if you want to see how half life 2 performs on the 360
i think it lets you play the first level of ep2, so you can get a taste and compare
do you already have the OG xbox version?
also if you want to play the episodes unfortunately you can only play ep1 and ep2 on xbox 360.
the game on 360 is the orange box it also comes with portal and tf2 which is strangley active on xbox one
oh yeah and im sure all games run better on the xbox one backwards compatable
Hunter White
Make one, because I have actually played it and tried bhopping around the red barnhouse on Route Kanal and it's basically impossible
I'm in the same boat. As long as the framerate isn't fluctuating like crazy I couldn't care less otherwise.
Nolan Parker
Was fun to play on the map Three Kingdoms and gang up on a single AI. Made up for the controls handicap. Plus you could get your "consoles only" pleb friends to play Starcraft with you.
It's completely pointless nowadays. HL2 would run better even on a shitty toaster laptop. Just get the HL2 old engine mod if you want to do speedrunning glitches.
