Is this guy "Seventeen" (Desmond) from the achievement leaks?

Is this guy "Seventeen" (Desmond) from the achievement leaks?

It's Odin (one of the ancient niggas like Juno).

What if "Odin" is Desmond fucking shit up with the Animus system?

Why would he be an old man

I hope so but I doubt it, maybe then there's going to be something interesting in the game

To be more believable? If my conscious self was trapped in the animus and I had access to everything in history and somehow figure a way to fix destiny or whatever during the vikings time, Id prob ROLEPLAY as Odin old man + crow myth to control the Vikings.

Desmond doesn't know how to edit time though, that was only taught to Layla. The fact that the MC can see it historically means it's a physical manifestation of a person, not some sort of Animus glitch.

can someone give me a quick rundown of the meta story since 3, all i know is that desmond's brain was put in a jar

>Desmond could potentially become the major god of every religion and control civilizations to deter them from the world ending by using the Animus as a time traveling device
This could possibly save the series

until the tranny that wrote odyssey writes a new game again, releasing a turd with god awful writing.

>Desmond doesn't know how to edit time though, that was only taught to Layla
What? I still don't regret skipping all of that present day bullshit in the Odyssey DLC, but WHAT?

I just want Desmond back, Layla fucking sucks.

I thought it was Merlin

You wish, Desmond is dead and so is everything that made modern AC interesting. Juno was a mistake

It's gonna be a long one so I hope you're prepared since this will take a bit to write. There's no real quick way to write it outside of "Stuff happened, people died, you play as Rey Skywalker now."

>AC L
Abstergo Entertainment is founded. Their goal is to make historical videogames but it's a front to find PoEs for the Templars. The entire thing is basically the Assassins trying to gain initiates from showing them the truth.

>AC4
Templars recover Desmond's body and chop it up for all the DNA it can offer. His DNA is used as a catalyst for Abstergo to start cataloguing DNA. You play as Noob who is a random worker at Abstergo Entertainment.
They introduce Sages which are Aita (Juno's husband) randomly reincarnated in people's bodies throughout the years because their DNA is in every human's DNA. At the end Juno is uploaded into the Cloud as the modern day Sage tries making Noob a conduit for Juno but it doesn't work and the Sage gets shot to death.

>AC Rogue
Takes place not too long after 4. Noob left the company (Unknown if it was on good terms or not) and Numbskull took over his desk. Numbskull basically sifts through Shay's data finding a bunch of stuff and you meet Otso Berg, leader of Sigma Team and the main "antagonist" of the Templars for modern day going forward.
Throughout the game Shay shifts to the Templar side and Otso uses that to justify being a Templar. Shay himself finds a box which the Templars want because it's a PoE that can reveal some things in Isu ciphers, and then at the end of the game Otso shitposts the Assassins that the Templar ideology is good because Shay saw the truth and that freedom is awful and the Assassins are idiots.
Numbskull is then basically forced to become inducted into the Templar Order and is given a choice to decide if he's joining or leaving in a body bag within a couple days. Juno sends spooky messages over the Animus saying she'll be back.

Stop shilling this garbage please.

Thankfully Valhalla has actual writers on the team
I know, there's some bullshit ways to write Desmond back in, but Ubi has proven they're not interested in writing a good video game since BF.

>shilling
Right its not about caring about a beloved character that was butchered through the years.

>edit time
Explain this bullshit right now to someone who only played 1 & 2.

>ACU
Assassins are trying to gain Initiates by showing them the truth again via Arno's unedited memories. At this time Abstergo is doing a cloud-based system where you download snippets of history and play through them. The Assassin missions in it are all edited so much that they're all taken out of context while the Templars like the Borgias are world heroes. The Assassins are using the Initiates to save other Initiates basically trapped in the Helix Cloud. The Templars on the other hand are looking for the Observatory from 4 and any of the blood vials if possible. Around 4 or Rogue (I can't remember which) we were told they're trying to recreate an Isu body to go back into the past with, and here they're also looking for anything that can help them with that such as DNA. Juno continues to send spooky messages over the Animus.

>AC Chronicles
Basically shows us a journey of Ezio's (Shay's) Precursor Box. In the secret video it shows Otso handing it to the guy trying to make an Isu clone.

>AC S
The Assassins are finally staging attacks on the Templars to find where the Shroud of Eden is since their spying led them to the Templars looking into it. They get into some skirmishes with the highest tier Templar leaders at the time and book it (Shaun, Rebecca, and Galvina I think her name was). They use the same Initiate from Unity to sift through the Frye twins history and find the location, and then they're attacked. The Templars gain the Shroud, Rebecca is shot in the process (She lives), and Shaun killed the higher up Templar but they had to retreat.
Juno is also shown to be working with Violet da Costa (An Instrument of the First Will member which are basically Juno cultists. She was Otso Berg's Sigma Team comms person.) to bring her back to life, and in the Animus she's also being spooky saying she's coming back.

Those bottom 3 look unironically kino

He's liked in the sense that he was the center of when AC still had a story that was going somewhere

>tfw AC China was a 2D side-scroller
>Would've been kino in 3d

-Interim for comics-
After the end of Syndicate the mad scientist on the Templar side of things manages to recreate an Isu body using the Shroud of Eden which held Consus' consciousness and a bunch of other nonsense. During this time Juno is resurrected and put into the body and her cultists basically go mad with power. Desmond had a bastard son called Elijah who is actually a Sage, he manages to control the Sage side of himself and trick Juno, sides with the Assassins, the Assassins kill Juno after she finds out he's lying to her, then he flies away into the ceiling.
Incidentally Juno has a good body if you want to look up the panel where she's floating naked in a tube.

>Movie
Callum Lynch is nabbed by the Templars and is forced to relive Aguilar's memories to find an Apple. Through some incredibly stupid means that make no sense and should have never happened he kills Alan Rikkin, one of the head honchos of Abstergo and the Templar Order in modern day.
Despite being absolute that doesn't make any sense this is canon.

No, I just like the series. One of the few I can recall the lore of offhand quickly enough. This dumb site got me into them with the original AC1 threads when it released.
