The one redeeming feature of this franchise and they fucked it up.
Assassin's Creed: Anachronism
pretty sad desu
>desu

fuck the wordfilter
>no roof-running again (buidings are 8 feet tall at most)
>literally whos, no chance of meetings with true historical figures
>vikings culture is just... go and kill the enemies? literally 0 interest in it
>SJW shit
>settlement managing
>Layla still only MC of MT, I guess? No William, no Rebecca/Shawn?
Time to play AC to ACIII again
God I hate youbuysoft so much
>>no roof-running again (buidings are 8 feet tall at most)
That's the point I guess. They're filling the game world with tall stone buildings from the 12th-13th century while it's supposed to be the 9th.
>tall stone buildings from the 12th-13th century
it will be like in Origins, where there was SOME tall building but you couldn't do real parkour around
I FUCKING HATE NU-AC
>You know, we've got all this money at our disposal. Should we hire a historian for $3/h as a consultant for this historical game we're making?
>green-haired lady in back: Why? Let's just watch Netflix. That like, has like, viking movies and junk and stuff...?????
>Ubisoft simps: YES. LET'S do what the tits said! Please acknowledge our existence, tits!
And that's how modern Ubisoft games are made.
Oh for fuck's sake.
Wow.
Did the 2nd haircut really existed
I can't even.
Are we playing Skyrim again
This is some WoW shit, is it supposed to be in any way historical
Welp I guess that solves the "what the fuck are they going to climb" question lmao
>when your artistic influence comes from capeshit more than any historical basis
More stone churches.
Damn it sure is super impressive how the trailer released less than an hour ago and there are already-made comparison images using the promo stills
Surely they weren't prepared in advance or anything
We knew what you meant newfriend
Churches looked like this! LIKE THIS!
Fuck you Ubisoft, you used to do this right.
Vikings were masters of vinyl siding.
I would've forgiven them if they'd put in stave churches but even those would've been 200 years too early.
I think they did a good job on the Normans, the Vikings are awful though. None of them wear helmets
>m-muh shills...
Rent free.
Those aren't supposed to be Normans, they're Saxons. It's supposedly 9th century Great Heathen Army invasion.
>The one redeeming feature of this franchise
Except them fucking it up as soon as the second game, but sure.
Those roofs are at least from the 14th century.
Yes, but without the porn mods
>Being upset by a word filter
baka desu senpai
wait what the fuck? WHY?
Earlier, but completely in the wrong place.
They seem to have looked up "Medieval architecture", looked at Romanesque as the earliest category but failed to notice that stuff is all from the Frankish kingdoms.
England didn't have any of that stuff, they used wood until the Normans took over.
Cant wait for Assassins Creed on the WWII
caring this much about minute details of history in any medium or respect is literally the most autistic trait I can think of and it makes me laugh and feel pity every time I see it.
Same reason why Ghosts of Tsushima devs are using Sengoku era stuff instead of Mongol Invasion era stuff, despite the game being set during the mongol invasion.
"The older stuff looked too lame".
yeah fuck this
>early middle ages
>looks like late middle ages
I hope they burn
>AssCreed
>the game which started with depictions of the Nizari sect of Levantine Assassins as ninjas parkouring in the Holy Land in white robes and a chopped finger to fit a finger blade in their fist
>historical
Cope and die, ubisoy
>Vikings didnt have beards, didnt use axes and lived in straw huts
Why so we like Vikinga again?
I dont know. Heavy metal maybe?
Their environments were always stellar when it came to reproducing the historical settings.
Until now, this looks like fucking fantasyland.
what bothers me most is that it undermines the previous games.
If viking assassins in 10th century used the hidden blade on the dorsal part of their forearm very efficiently for stealth kills (or so it will be sold in the game, otherwise it wouldn't make sense have a hidden blade), why Altair and other assassins had to sacrifice their ring finger to use it?
It make them seem pretty stupid, why undermine their characters like this?
read the lore noob
