im so very very sad.
as much as the mod user is trying to shill it, I'd rather wait until it's stable enough to not crash or bug up runs

nvm
Artificer is Walter
Reposting this in hopes that those who asked about it in the last risk of rain thread see it:
Loaders arms are from a 3A Toys DIY Ceasar (means they came in flat white, unpainted), from their World War Robot line (the 1/12 version, so WWRP). Had to camp eBay for a while with the idea in mind to find those.
Oh lawdy. From left to right (just assume everything is also repainted):
Artificer: Spider Woman body from marvel legends line, everything added on is either hand sculpted apoxie sculpt or 3d printed.
Bandit: black series Han Solo, chest strap from some hydra figure, coat from eBay - meant for marvel Gambit figures, shotgun from eBay, from some obscure toyline, head 3d printed + painted, hat + revolver are generic dollhouse props found on eBay
Loader: Black series.death trooper torso + human arms, kulo rem legs (and his skirt thing is cut down to make the waist ridged section), WWR Ceasar robot arms, cage frame from a Funko retro aliens power loader, kneepads from some Evolve figure, helmet and backpack rig 3d printed, with little greeblies on it taken from my parts bin
HAN-D: entirely 3d printed, barring the joints (mix of revoltech joints from eBay and hobby base joints) and hands (3a finger gang hands, similar to Loaders). Oh and the shaft of the hammer is a plastic knitting needle with 3d printed rings on it to make the handles.
Enforcer: some fortnite robot character torso + arms, some other fortnite figure head + neck (hidden by helmet). Black series new order stormtrooper legs + waist, with booster thingies added on taken from Evolve figure. Riot helmet from WWE accessory pack, shield is a 1/6th riot shield from eBay, meant for figures twice his size. Shotgun from some fortnite werewolf. (I don't play fortnite so I dunno who those are)
Commando: basically just a black series tank pilot, but with a green lantern Naut Koi lo (or something like that) helmet replacing his head.
desu I thought you were making these from scratch and not just frankensteining them. Kinda disappointing but a lil relieved that I won't feel as bad when I fucking smash them.
If I remember right HAN-D was scratch
Sorry to disappoint, but I've always tried to be up-front about it. Very few custom figures are from-scratch, most at least use other figures for the base articulation
Yeah he was.
For example,I want to make an artificer figure, I'm not interested in recreating a female body from scratch. So I sculpted over a base figures, because arti is essentially just a human body with armor/clothes.
Open when?
I dunno if it's really a problem, you are just saving time and resources, i mean it just works.
But I could see why some people don't really like it. Personally, good fucking work.
Though if you have access to a 3D printer... well, I'd like to see more custom stuff, like hand is good.
I promise to make an artificer outfit sometime.
With freezing worms disabled, it should be about as stable as regular Starstorm is right now, we played a few 2+ hour runs on the current build and it would only crash during alt ending, which is already unstable to begin with so that's not really something I can adjust.
I'm currently fixing the last few bugs (cursed sword giving errors and fan of blades not syncing) and then everything should be stable enough to play regularly
Yeah basically internet artists today just steal a bunch of shit and draw over it. You're no different
NOW
WAIT FOR ME
>mfw toyanon doesn't wanna sell me his artificer toy
Man, it's cool if you don't like it but this is pretty much standard practice for custom action figures. I'm just doing a hobby I like, and posting pictures I take because people here seem to enjoy them. No need to be an ass. Do you know that most props for movies are just made of parts of other things? All the spaceships in star wars are basically cardboard covered in pieces from model kits.
Planning on doing Rex next, he's going to be almost all 3d printed, maybe just some craft store faux flower parts and revoltech joints

boy i wish i were autistically refreshing to get in
As someone who likes to do sculptures, this is really interesting. What materials do you use for the costume parts? Because of the texture looks like clay.
Ignore that faggot. Its literally the same person shitting up the place about 10-mans and the like
Oooh janny mad
>Comparing yourself to Star Wars
You could honestly just make these toys yourself but you're too lazy/inexperienced. Its fine when you want to compare yourself to a 70's film maker and just want to milk sweet reddit karma with your little toys but thats it. I could honestly sculpt and paint better toys but I wont, because I'm not a faggot who needs the world to see me pretending to make toys.
The leg rings and tunic are Apoxie Sculpt. It's essentially 2 part moldable epoxy of some kind. Wear gloves if you use it, because you can develop an allergy to it over time otherwise. Once it's cured its safe though. The helmet and backpack are 3d printed and sanded.
It's all good, I know I'm not some crazy artist making stuff from scratch, my feelings aren't hurt. I've never tried to mislead people on this, I'm always explaining what they are made from because I figure other people might want to make their own. It's just a fun hobby, and it's more fun to share the results.
Han solo's iconic blaster is literally just a Mauser broomhandle with a scope and a goofy nozzle on the front.
Not everything creative needs to be made from scratch. I'm not aspiring to do this professionally, sperg.
