No, it wasn't that long since the last one, they called it a direct mini but that's really just to temper expections a little since it was lacking either of the 3 big hitters people were waiting for.

BotW2 is all I care about anyway unless another mainline Mario game is around the corner. None of these first party releases have been any good.
