Yes, the game can and will present you with impossible scenarios, some seeds are literally not possible. If you'd actually played the game you'd know this.

Beam weapons shouldn't be underrated. It's a bit of a build based game, you won't be able to have everything to try and build yourself around what you find.

Ftl is good though. I didnt really enjoy into the breach. I kept feeling like I had played it before and had a weird feeling it was robbing me all the time. I have the same issue with rim world. Dont know why but it feels like I've played it but at least into the breach is satisfying. Rim world isnt

But that's part of the appeal and challenge of a roguelike. I've been playing pixel dungeon and its various versions on android for 10 years and I still get fucked by Tengu and the dwarf king on occasion. The only rng that ever pisses me off in FTL is when my engines blow out. It feels like it happens too often

I felt like cheating, but they were 3 of the only 5 I was missing at the time. Ice Mech is truly busted, and is easily the best mech in the game with the pilot that replaces your HP with a shield.
