Has anyone played this piece of shit? I've played every total war game up until this one,and I downloaded this last night from steam. What is the fucking deal with it? Provinces are fine one turn, and the next turn they are in open revolt out of absolutely nowhere. Christian rebels spawn absolutely fucking everywhere if you do any sort of trade whatsoever with foreigners. Making money is absolutely impossible, you can go from owning one province to owning ten, you will still barely make 1000 gold per turn, even though you only have one army which isn't even that fucking big.
Lowering taxes does fuck all, unless you put them so low you are losing a tone of money every turn. How did they fuck it up this bad? I mean these mechanics were in every other total war game and they just....worked.
>Playing any total war game that came after Med2..
Christian Clark
go for fertile provinces, add the metsuke/ninja buildings, and dont fall for the Jesuits and their lies unless you're ready to build a rank 4 monastery you don't need a general for every garrison, so just spread out some ashigaru
Cameron Kelly
My only problem in my Date capaign so far is AI on the other side of the map in conflict with 8 other neighboring clans sending full stacks at me for no reason.
James Gray
Did the creator of Darthmod nerf the Portuguese unit?
I swear to god, I have like 90 accuracy on my Portuguese troops and they barely kill ~90 people during my battles
Eli Jenkins
I just hate it because no unit variety. I get that's the appeal to some, muh balance, makes it like a chess game whatever still lame. I like LARPINg as defender of christendom against the muslim hordes. Pass.
Matthew Wood
The game was designed so you couldn't make every city an economic powerhouse that can easily support huge armies, try destroying some markets
>Lowering taxes does fuck all Don't lower taxes on your whole territory, just exempt the province who might rebels from taxes. Build a monastery and add a monk to quickly convert them to your religion.
Xavier Brooks
just play WH2, it's far superior to any of the other games
Lucas Gray
>being this bad
Camden Adams
Just mod it bro lmoa
Grayson Jones
>play Otomo >get Christian rebels ????
Asher Richardson
it tells you exactly what is contributing to happiness and unhappiness in every province, you just have to manage it. having a few units or characters goes a long way. probably what's happening is you move an army out of those provinces which was contributing a lot of suppression
as for your economic troubles, don't build military buildings everywhere. choose a few recruiting hotspots that make sense and focus on economic buildings everywhere else.
it's also vitally important to send your beginning ships around the whole map to meet everyone so you can trade with them. grab as many trade nodes as you can once you have trade ships. slap a stack of 10 trade ships on each one.

> I've played every total war game up until this one,and I downloaded this last night from steam. What is the fucking deal with it? >Provinces are fine one turn, and the next turn they are in open revolt out of absolutely nowhere >Provinces No you didn't. TW didn't have provinces until Rome 2, before that it was called settlements.
If you have played anything previously to Shogun 2, you wouldn't have difficult to play and make a thread about, since the settlement management are similar.
You are probably a warhammerfag that didn't have played anything than warhammer, since that game has zero management in the campaign part.
>TW didn't have provinces until Rome 2, before that it was called settlements.
I don't think you have played any total war games.

>Provinces are large land areas which the campaign map is divided into. In turn, provinces are divided into local regions which each contain a settlement. Provinces are not waterways. >Provinces contain up to four settlements. Control of a province can be split between multiple factions, each ruling over the settlements/local regions they hold. If OP have played anything before S2 he would have called settlements or regions instead of provinces. Also, stop reply to yourself
Not only are you a faggot but you are also wrong. Rome 1 total war calls them provinces.
Christian Hernandez
or maybe the last game he played was Rome 2 or 3K and just got used to calling them provinces?
Connor Cox
Even earlier total war games had provinces. The guy is probably just a schizo.
Wyatt Mitchell
This is actually the last truly great historic TW game: It's got peak aesthetics and music. Combat is responsive and deadly, not too quick like Warhammer where units rout within 1 minute of engaging. You've got swords, pikes and bows but can also work towards guns and cannons, giving you interesting tactical options. It's the last TW game that has agent cinematics which positively ooze soul. It's got the best campaign mechanic in Realm Divide, which provides you with a constant challenge throughout the mid and late game. It's got OK naval battles. The FOTS expansion is almost a different game by itself, giving you the best gunpowder TW game (although fucking CA retroactively made this a separate Saga title to cover the disgrace that is Thrones of Britannia)
>(although fucking CA retroactively made this a separate Saga title to cover the disgrace that is Thrones of Britannia) I think that's Sega doing what they do best and being absolute jews
Carson Powell
If you look into it you'll sadly see there's a lot of clues over the past years that it's actually been CA who've turned into jews, but since they've pretty much got a monopoly over this type of game and also a big fanbase of manchildren who think it's ok to pay 3 dollars for having fucking blood in your game, or for adding missing units to factions, they'll continue being money hungry little shits
Andrew Gomez
it's a good game, your just shit at it.
Nathan Edwards
>Being too retarded to manage taxes and settlement happiness in one of the easiest games in the franchise before Realm Divide kicks in I though people on this board being that bad at video games was just a meme or troll.
Samuel Hernandez
OUR MEN ARE RUNNING FROM THE BATTLEFIELD SHAMFUR DISPRAY!
John Smith
But they didn't start being jews until Sega bought them out, the only post sega game that didn't have tons of tiny DLCs was Medieval 2, and that was probably far into development when Sega bought them
Jack Ross
With 10 provinces, you should have close to 30 food. Which means your income increases by 300 per turn without even counting the growth bonuses from buildings. How can you make only 1000?
Adrian Russell
I loved the little cinematics at the start of a battle when you had the Daimyo lead the troops.
