Forget the 2 vs 3 wars. Dark Souls 1 has even SHITTIER gameplay. The game is DOGSHIT, and it has nu-soul too. DS1drones, LOOK at this webm and tell me DS2 has worse gameplay
3 was soulless but yeah when I boot up 1 again it doesn’t take me long to remember why I have considerably less playtime than 2
DS2 hurts the most because it has the most potential.
I hate Ds2 for two reasons

>every area feels the same but with Pokémon elements added to it. Welcome to EARTH castle, proceed to FIRE castle, after that you’ll face THUNDER castle, and in the DLC you’ll go to ICE castle.
I like DS2 best out of the three, but I can definitely see why people aren't a fan of it. I just think its neat and fun.
Does someone else have the feeling that DS1 looks better than DS2 in alot of cases? The armor and weapons are a bit more shiny and the environments seem more detailed too. I like all three of the games but Dark Souls 2 definitely has some weird design choices.
I-frame bullshit is a good thing. It probably could have been handled better but its too easy to i-frame through attacks in DS1, especially with doors and the like.
The latter is applicable to most fantasy settings though. Here's the urban area, here's the forest area, here's the swamp area, here's the castle area, here's the snow area. All DS games are guilty of it because its inescapable unless you want a lack of variety.

No expression or soul put into it, just an empty ‘LALALALALALALALALA *DING DONG*’ designed to appeal to DS1numales who’ll say ‘wow the adventure is over...’, ‘wow so deep... really makes you think...’. All of the other lullaby themes are better, even DS3’s Epilogue.
To be fair, it IS meant to be a co-op raid area where you and your chums kick ass and take names.
Iron Passage can still suck 50 dicks though.
