You forgot putting "After school" on top corner. It's a staple.
TWEWY or KH3 Remind
Valkyrie Profile
SMT Nocturne
Final Fantasy Tactics and XII
SaGa Scarlet Grace
Chrono Cross
Shadow Hearts: Covenant
In how many of those games can you make your own character and make important decisions that will change the world/story?
Etrian Odyssey has the best "traditional" combat
Not really.
Chrono Trigger
None of them, but you can have a dog as a party member.
Dark Souls 3
>thread about combat
>"BUT WHAT ABOUT THE STORY AND SELF-INSERT AND IMMERSION"
why would you want to be some boring blank slate with 0 personality but also somehow so important you get to change the story based on nothing but your own actions? leads only to shitty stories
If you could move the player characters it would still be a contender to this day and their would be much more copies
Valkyrie Profile
Notcurne
Scarlet Grace
Chrono Cross, kind of.
The best one for that is Scarlet Grace.
Do you like games that show damage in the 1-10 range of 1243234523452345-3425234634567345673 range?
I mean you cant just post games and call them RPGs if they arent RPGs
>Chrono Cross
>XII
Wanna know how I know your taste is shit?
As far as classic turn based "3/4 niggas in a row" JRPG, I think I enjoyed Mana Khemia the most with its turn shifting, repeater skills etc.
Big numbers add more variety but usually smaller numbers keep it balanced, so I will go for the latter.
>pedo art: the game
Coomers should not be allowed to have opinions.
SMT is better.
Dragon's Dogma

>ROLE PLAYING game
You play a role in all of those, retard. They arent called "choose your own adventure" games
It's not our fault you suck at roleplaying.
so long as there is stat manipulation, level ups, class/job development, gear customization, etc, it's an rpg.
You play a role in any game.
For me, it's Baten Kaitos Origins.
These are good too, especially TWEWY.
Also Radiant Historia was neat.
What's a good SaGa entrypoint, preferably on Vita? I think I tried Romancing SaGa 2 remake but got sucked pretty fast and didn't really know what was going on.
Is god of war an RPG? You are playing the role of Kratos
We live in a society..
That's not a defining factor in vidya RPGs. It's not even a requirement.
I'm fond of Ys combat, old and new
>press x to awesome
>good combat

Hey! Sometimes you press Y.
Dragon's Dogma, nothing else comes remotely close.
