Can I get a serious rundown on these two games?
I've not played either but the first seems like a really good story with some solid RPG elements and has a very nice artstyle while 2 looks like garbage in every category.
Can I get a serious rundown on these two games?
First: Personal best JRPG ever. Good story - though a bit straightforward toward the end, good party members, and an open movement combat system that is like half-MMO half-RPG that is pretty fun and switching characters grants some variety.
Second: Bit too "anime" for my tastes. And I'm usually tolerant of that. The tutorial lasts like 15 hours going through Chapter 3 (out of 10). Not really a big fan of the combat mechanics that focus on equipping each party character with 3 Blade characters and switching around as much as possible to fire off attacks and combos. MC is an annoying brat, rest of the party are still good characters, though often feel sidelined.
2 is just as good, unless you are a shallow anti-weeb
2 is great and filters normalfags
1 is perfection. 2 is for weeb trannies.
It looks exactly like that, I want to get into Xenoblade but 2 just looks fucking.. AWFUL. I can't stand even staring at it let alone some of the webms's people share of it here.
I instinctively open a tab and search up porn of xc 2 whenever i see threads about it even if i dont want to jerk off. The girls are just too good
you must hate the remake artstyle then
Xenogears > Baten Kaitos / Origins > Xenoblade >>>> Xenoblade X >>>>>>>>>>>>> Tales of Shit Realm > Xenoblade 2
They’re both fantastic.
Definitive edition artstyle is better than their XC2 appearance.
Though I do prefer the old Shulk.
The only one that bother me is Reyn. His face is totally different.
Xenoblade 1 is one of the greatest JRPGs of all time.
Xenoblade 2 is also a solid JRPG but its story and characters are very tropey so that may be a turnoff.
If I had to choose one, I'd go with XC1 over XC2 ten times out of ten but they're both fine games as long as the otaku bait moments of XC2 don't turn you off
>weeb trannies.
I do love the deflection by the discord trannies furious about XB2. Or is this just the xb2fag that cuts himself everyday since xb2 is the best selling xeno game by a country mile?
I have no idea what you're on about. Trannies love blatant anime shit and XB2 is just their speed.
Xb2fag, got it. Honestly you should just kill yourself now, before the high blood pressure xb2 gives you does the job.
Xenoblade 2 is by far the best JRPG this gen and the only interesting JRPG in the past two decades.
Xenoblade 1 is okay. Very simplistic and only decent if you're a 16 year old looking for anime stories.
Never realized he wears a giant fleshlight on each leg
dumb schizo. You are aware that more than one person can dislike your game, right?
I never realized that both costumes were done by the nomura school of belt straps for life
Some one post the webms
This game is *dad walks in* incarnate
>Xenoblade 2 is by far the best JRPG this gen and the only interesting JRPG in the past two decades
>the only interesting JRPG in the past two decades
If that’s what you need to tell yourself, feel free. But in all honesty lying to yourself isn’t healthy.
Trannies hate sexy anime girls that are heavy in fanservice. It’s something they can never obtain. They much prefer western animated girls. Honestly user if you hate weeb anime, you are probably a tranny.
It’s a Discord tranny, user. The cope when they realize they have been called out is a clear signal.
XC1: Great story, great characters, great music. Combat is fun, though personally I found that it lacked depth towards the mid-end game since the amount of abilities is limited, so combat felt a little samey after awhile. But fundamentally it's pretty fun. The huge maps also require a lot of walking, which isn't very fun, and imo the sidequests/affinity systems aren't fun to grind out. Overall though, great game.
XC2: Meh story, meh characters, meh music. Compared to XC1, they're not good. Compared to the first game, where the characters genuinely get along and become friends, the characters in XC2 feel like they're tacked on. Outside of Rex, they never really interact with each other, which makes for a less interesting party dynamic. Besides that Rex and the aren't too exciting and fall into many common anime tropes, which is a shame because the setting (visually and lore-wise is actually cool). Gameplay-wise, it's fun, and I actually like it more than XC1. I liked the customization options compared to the first game, and it adds new combo systems on top of what was in XC1 so that combat is a little more diverse. Overall, its story and characters are disappointing when compared to its predecessor, so that XC1 is better overall in my opinion. But it's still fun, and personally I'd play it first (if at all) and wait for the definitive edition to come out, and hopefully bring some QoL changes to the original.
Bonus XCX: Terrible story, some characters are nice but others are excruciating, and the music is ranges from alright to god-awful. But the gameplay is still a lot of fun, and the world is fun to explore, especially once you get your skell.
I love anime though. Just not blatant tropey shit like XB2. The game doesn't realize how embarassing it is to play it.
I loved XCX's OST, and I'm genuinely amazed at how many people hate good music.
I'm not played first yet (waiting for my preordered DE), but second game is very good. Cool characters, world and absolutely fantastic soundtrack.
People like you seriously lack self awareness. All this anime shit is the same. Xenoblade 1 is as cringy or cringier than 2. Once you grow up and read a book you'll realize that.
>Xenoblade 1 is as cringy or cringier than 2
Hahahahaha
I think you'll like XC1 too. I also loved the second game, and I just couldn't get enough even after finishing up the postgame superbosses so I stepped out of my comfort zone and set up Dolphin and finished the first game using that, and it was just as good in my opinion. Looking forward to the DE.
Both are great games, each with a unique set of problems.
The 1st one is more normie friendly and mainstream- yes it is anime, but is more mainstream shounen than 2, which is more of a love letter to late 80s/90s adventure anime and manga. The plot in 1 is also much more accessible, with a great conflict set up right at the start and some of the best story pacing in a JRPG for the first half of the game. Gameplay style is like an mmo, but more active and involved- easy to pick up and play, but with enough depth to keep you hooked. The Majority of the sidequests are pretty bad, typical MMO shit.
2's gameplay has way more depth, but it is poorly taught to the player, making it difficult for players to pick up and understand, and in it's worst cases, players literally learning to play the game the wrong way, and then wondering why everything takes 5 minutes to kill. It's story is super anime, which will turn a ton of people off, but the emotional moments hit way harder because the game spends a lot more time developing relationships and having fun moments between the cast of characters. The villains are also incredibly well done in 2. Some of the sidequests are really good. Most of them are MMO trash like the 1st game. The music is great in both 1 and 2, and which one you prefer is ultimately up to your taste.
There is also Xenoblade X, which is Wii U only for now. This one has deep gameplay like 2, but it is more accessible- similar to 1. The exploration in this game is incredible, featuring the best open world in gaming history. The main story line is kind of bland and not particularly well done, but manages to feel more "Adult" and "Mature" than the stories in either 1 or 2. The sidequests are half MMO trash, half some of the best sidequests you will find in an open world game. It's a pretty cool little game. The music is extremely hit or miss depending on your tastes, it definitely has a very strong identity.
1 overall is the best.
X has the best exploration and side quests but the worst main story and subjectively the best side characters.
2 has the best art style, but the worst characters and forgettable side quests. Also a gacha that locks you out of side quests until you get lucky enough to get the character who is needed to unlock said sidequest.
