This game is actually very good if you play it as a man on fire/John wick simulator, use stealth when possible, don't be afraid to go loud, ignore witnesses and avoid civilian casualties when possible.

>this game is actually very good if you play it completely differently from how the series is meant to be played
>this game is actually very good if you use its generic, derivative third person shooter mechanics as your primary mechanic

Shut up

Turn off all the handholding bullshit HUD options and the game is fantastic

>wear the same uniform as another guy 2 miles away
>glimpses at the back of your head for a split second
>starts shooting you
This game is garbage

No it isn't. The shooting isn't good or fun enough to make it a compelling action game.

No, it's not. Hitman supposed to give you a semi open world. This linear shit doesn't even compete against Ghost Recon.

I know people hate Absolution and all, but man this game has an amazing atmosphere.

Sure, if you're 14 and think Quentin Tarantino is the height of cinema.

Wait, I thought the pic was Hitman 2016. Yeah, Absolution is dogshit

What kind of corny ass Reddit post is this? Who makes you the authority on what's mature and what's not you frail faggot? You're on an anonymous gook board for entertainment products for children and teenagers. Grow up

who makes you the authority to decide whats reddit and whats not you corny ass freak?

lmao stay mad underage faggot

lmao, don't forget your homework, zoomer

haha no im more like a bloomer today, or a doomer? i dont know, feel like a consoomer, hmm not sure, i talk like a boomer, such a zoomer thing to say haha ahahahah epic Yas Forums royale

Well, I'm 27, but I do think Tarantino is the height of cinema, so you might onto something...

4/10, work on your metric

How dare a game series try new formulas and new ideas. How dare later entries lift ideas from this game verbatim.

A vocal minority hate Absolution. Strong overlap with the people who shit their nappies over Crysis 2.

I know the OP is about Absolution and not nu-Hitman but
>say I hate instinct vision and how you have to use it all the time
>"just turn it off bro"
>game literally not designed with that in mind in the slightest
>likely to get spotted opening any random door in mansions
>sniping doesn't work on several maps, you're meant to track the targets' 5 minute long route with instinct and snipe when they pass by a small window

Anyone that implied turning off instinct was a viable option is a fucking retard who never tried it themselves. To snipe one of the targets on Sgail you basically can't even see them without instinct.

>completely abandons the identity of what made the series good in the first place
>"B-B-B-BUT THEY'RE INNOVATING"
The only good idea that was picked from Absolution was the superior movement and shooting mechanics, which is more a consequence of technology than design

I've played every Hitman game in the book and I appreciate the change of pace Absolution brought to the table.
Sue Me.

Also Instincts mode.

you cant like different things you fucking retarded idiot, go fucking kys redditor, how can you fucking like different things fucking imbecile, you absolute cretin

That just isn't true. By your logic, the original Hitman is a shitty Hitman game because of how linear it was. (Let's face it, most "old" Hitman fans are really just Blood Money fans.)

Instinct is still a terrible fucking idea, and I wish the new games would do away with it and just give us the good old looking through a keyhole

>how linear it was
You've literally never played C47. The only two levels that are remotely linear are the tutorial and the final level.

Bro just cover your face!!

The original Hitman levels aren't linear at all.

Instinct allows players to track AI across complex level design. Imagine having to walk around the level aimlessly for an hour.

Remember that Instincts introduced the thick crowds that modern Hitman is known for. (That one mission in Blood Money doesn't count.) Once these crowds were introduced, it became necessary to give the player navigation aids.

You have basically zero freedom in C47.

Of all the things to bitch about the nuHitman games, instinct is probably the dumbest.

Name one level beside the two I named where you don't have freedom. Even Colombia, some of the worst levels ever put in a Hitman game, gave you freedom of approach.

thank god Absolution ended up being a one-off

That's easy to say in retrospect, now that we know the series got back on track. Imagine if Absolution killed the fucking series though.

instinct is arguably more casual than the old maps though

>47, your target is a bioterrorist
>he loves throwing parties and doing a certain party trick
>he walks a tight rope over a lion enclosure to impress his guests
>good luck 47
>*loosen rope a little bit*
>*target falls onto lions*
>brilliant 47, you truly are a master assassin
>no one else could have done that, only the best hitman in the world
nu-Hitman sucks my cock

It's the same shit.
