What are your expectations for NMH3?
What are your expectations for NMH3?
fewer bossfights than there are villains
at least one gimmick boss fight
Kickass boss themes and downtime segments.
At least one minigame where he has to play catch with his son Hunter.
Double wielding laser katana you control each one of them with a joycon
I expect it to be delayed, but you can pretty much guarantee that it will be a flop.
I want to be able to run around staggering plastered drunk. On sake of course, vomiting sushi and ramen.
Do people actually like Force Unleashed that much or is it just Star Wars fans. It seems like a standard action game that every franchise had around the late 2000s
NMH2 with better combat. Honestly, with so much more funding, a newer console, and years with the Unreal Engine, I don’t see any way the GAMEPLAY of NMH3 is gonna be bad. So I’m hype.
As for the story, I’m ready for people to be confused by all the Kill The Past deeplore added in, meanwhile I’ll know exactly what’s going on and laugh at the plebeians who never played The Silver Case.
In the first NMH3 trailer, Sylvia’s relaxing on an island. People have said this is most likely the mansion Travis has owned since the 2nd game, but personally, I think it’s actually Lospass Island from FSR. Would be kino to finally revisit it.
I had decent fun with it but there are much better action titles.
Seeing as we’ve never seen Hunter, I have this terrible feeling that he’s gonna end up being the final boss of NMH3, or the main character after Travis somehow dies, inheriting his weapons. Suda had a piece of Kozaki art of an unknown young/teenage character on his Twitter a month before NMH3 was announced, and I theorize that it was actually Hunter. I’ll post the image if I can dig it up.
FUCKHEAD
Every Suda game is financially less successful than most games. That doesn’t mean they’re terrible (unless it’s Michigan or FSR)
Totally mediocre and forgettable but it's the best star wars game that was available to the poor kids that grew up in the 360 and ps3 era, so they cling to it. Doesn't hold a candle to most games in it's genre or even to most other games using it's same license.
I genuinly expect this to be Suda 51's best work. And I'm not saying that out of excitement for NMH3 being announced. Suda definitely went through a phase where he was ragged and beaten fucking retarded by the western game companies that raped his projects. Lollipop Chainsaw (Even if it was mostly James Gunn), the original vision for Kurayami Dance, and then what happened with Shadows of the Damned that came OUT of the raped version of Kurayami Dance, etc. His games during this period are absolute dogshit.
BUT
He's had a recent resurgence and love for the indie scene, causing him to start hitting balls out of the park with his less conventional stuff, like 25th Ward and Travis Strikes Again. I think he's back on the horse this time, and he's had the most experience he's ever had so far. ON TOP OF THAT, he's in love with the new console, much as he was in love with the original Wii when it came out, and his mind is ticking.
I think with that uptick of energy, NMH3 is going to be the best thing he's ever put out to date. That's including Killer 7.
remember the asian guy that shows up and gives shinobu a sword, and it's like the weirdest fucking dub and out of place scene ever
Moonlight Syndrome remake when?
I was told a while ago there would be an update given last March.
What gives?
Yeah. Plus, since LET IT DIE, he’s been drilling the hell out of his team with the Unreal Engine. So honestly, I expect the slight clunk of the first two games to be basically absent in NMH3. That’s got me so hype.
One thing I found interesting, mostly about NMH2, is the absolute wealth of tech these games have. Did you know Shinobu can cancel out of her air combo by pressing B during it? Did you know you can tap Z on an attack hitting to do a charge attack without charging? It’s crazy how much there is. And they don’t tell you any of it. NMH3 will either start telling you/let you practice new tech. Or it’ll just keep it secret and add a lot more. Either way is cool with me.
Fuck I’m so hype. Holy shit.
Any Suda games so far that surpass Killer7? That game makes me want to write an essay but I’m not sure I’m skilled enough. Just bought The Silver Case and the 25th Ward, and I’ve played NMH1.
That Asian guy was Takashi Miike, a Japanese film director, and one of Suda’s favorites. He agreed to the cameo, and was a fan of the first game.
The Silver Case/25th Ward are just as if not MORE thought provoking than Killer7. If you want to write an essay on the intricacies of Killer7, you’ll want to write a multi-volume dissertation on 25th Ward. It’s crazy.
I don't think anybody who likes DMC and MGR could possibly hate NMH. That's heretical.
I never said that they were bad, just that this would be another failure financially.
Agree with the other user. You should also play Flower, Sun, and Rain on the DS. It's a game about trying to get to the front desk of a hotel.
Really, the order should be The Silver Case -> Flower, Sun, and Rain -> Killer 7 -> TSC: The 25th Ward.
I might be in the minority here but I found Flower, Sun, and Rain one of the more interesting games I've played recently. Just something about the way Suda writes banter between characters really draws me into his games. If you've already got both Silver Case games then I'd definitely recommend playing it after The Silver Case and before 25th Ward (chronologically speaking that is).
I don't care unless it loops back to the kill the past series.
Port RFS already and give me a new notVN after. Gameplay is just not sudas strong suit and I accept that.
Killer is dead is a fucking shitshow and I hate the fuck out of that game. It's confusing, it's poorly handled, it's not enjoyable at all. No other Suda game is this obtuse and unfun, I don't know what the fuck he was thinking with this one.
Killer 7 is the magnum opus of him. It's where crazyness, writing, characters and even gameplay are all of at least good quality and come together so perfect.
Reminder that in The 25th Ward, a 2005 game, Suda51 accurately predicted:
>The housing crisis
>The rise of public housing projects
>Darknet becoming a black market but also a protest tool
>The rise of transgender and homosexual acceptance
>More acceptance of sexuality in general, down to niche kinks even
>The rise of Internet cults (literal neo nazi counter culture groups on message boards before that even became a large part of Yas Forums/other sites image)
>The power and influence of becoming a concept (hard to explain but with Kurumizawa being alive after death it’s safe to say it’s like his concept lives on through people’s subconscious, much like the current post-truth and memetic world we have right now.)
That's some great trivia
Well, Suda accidentally leaked through files in his previous livestream that Kamui was coming back in NMH3. So yeah, we KTP now.
really hoping killer 7 gets a ps4 port, I don't get why it hasn't
NMH 1 and 2 are above it I'd say, more coherent, better gameplay, interesting minigames, great characters. K7 was experiemntal and ahd no right to be that good. All of his games are pretty good though, even the mediocre ones that arne't his fault.
Excluding KID
Yeah I’m not sure either, but what I do know is that Killer7 feels REALLY good on mouse/keyboard. So smooth.
Sonygros don't buy games that aren't massmarketed aaa trash. PS2 version didn't do as well, same with NMH1+2 and The Travis mini game port.
Just buy the PC port. It's in HD.
I'd figure it would be weird if Kamui didn't show up during NMH3 since he made an appearance in TSA. I still gotta play his game though.
I expect people to be mad as fuck when its not exactly what they wanted it to be like TSA, and then when it gets ported to other platforms people get mad when Suda disowns it for not being the version he worked on and it performs poorly.
What's thatshitty mess in the bottom right even meant to be?
it's gonna be Killer is Dead with more randumb and slightly better combat
One thing I didn't like about TSA was all the shilling for Epic and the Unreal Engine.
I was already turned off by Travis's default shirt being a UE logo, and you expect me to go look for UE logo collectables to get more UE shirts?
Crazy shit but still not as good as the original
>Travis clearly has a love of chocolate
>doesn't lay Shinobu
Strong will.
