I like to jump in every now and again after updates. I usually play for a few hours and not touch it again for months. There isn't much reason to do anything. It's laborious to get to any decent content and the rewards for all that work are not really there.

That gameplay trailer sucked. There still isn't much to do. Prison literally locks you out of playing for several hours, keep in mind you have to pay hundreds of dollars real money to fly most ships. Then someone flies Infront of you and you accidentally kill them then can't play for the rest of the night. Lol no thanks.

Chris roberts had to be kicked from freelancer for a finished product to come out. As finished as freelancer was anyway.

I have absolutely nothing against this game pushing the limits of graphics, gameplay depth, ambitious scope etc, if it's ever finished it will be a monumental landmark in vidya history. It just won't do it on my dime as I wouldn't even pay the $60 for a finished product, hell I wouldn't pirate it if it were even possible.

However the most likely scenario is that the only boundary it will push is the "how easily is a fool parted from his money in the vidya industry" one.

Reminder that some whales will see this as an incentive to drop an extra thousand on it. Some will likely be in this thread trying to rationalise it.
