All the sense of exploration and wonder has been gone from this game for nearly a decade, if not longer. I don't see the fun in continually grinding so I can get an item with bigger numbers to do more challenging timesinks on the hopes that I get items with bigger numbers than the aforementioned item.

What about 2h enhancement? If i recall correctly it was still possible until WoD pre-patch (certainly not optimal but if you felt like it in MoP you could still have big stormblasts) made it not work with stormstrike/blast, period.
