fortnite is a sign that the industry is getting better in regards to normies, prove me wrong

Fortnite:
>no regenerating health
>aim assist is minimal, non-existent on PC
>resource management and map awareness are tied together
>gameplay rewards quick reflexes and strategic building
>very unforgiving, one death is a loss

Halo/Cod
>slow as shit
>regenerating health
>ridiculous auto aim, including on PC in the case of Halo
>resource management amounts to picking your favorite two weapons
>map awareness almost non-existent

game still sucks though

It's a step up though

Season 1/vanilla fornite was actually good i downloaded it the day it came oit. Once they started adding a bunch of cash shop shit the game started declining. It officially died with the carts or cars or whatever gay shit they added i never made it that far.

>it died because cosmetics

I really appreciate the artstyle for going for a cartoony look thats not too childish. All of FPS games and sony movie games start to blend together to me.

fortnite is the most skilled game out there

I unironically agree

The games kids play now are way more skill based than 2000s shit like Minecraft, cod, jrpgs, etc. They actually reward skill. Don’t understand the hate on fortnite.

What is hard to understand that when developers prioritize monetization of a game over feature updates, the game becomes progressively worse in quality.

because it's popular and they can't blame their teams when they lose

>2000s
>jrpgs
the least popular they've ever been

I just wish that there was a full on story mode with all of the skins being given actual characters

Same shit is happening in Rocket League right now, Thanks Epic! Instead of Psyonix implementing interesting new things or improving on what is already there, they are just rehashing cosmetics for absurd prices. So now the game is in a downward spiral, despite having a lot of potential to be something really great.

But they’ve added feature updates?

>aim assist is minimal

Unironically yes. It quickly became clear that the devs care much more about pumping costumes for kids to buy than attempting to balance the game. The pump shotgun was notoriously overpowered for months on end. It even got fucking epic and legendary versions before it was toned down.

Fortnite gets hate because of its business model, target fan base, cartoony garbage, and corporate influence.

I've got about 400 hours in Rocket League. Have barely played in the last 2 years. Then they added loot boxes. Weirdly enough, CS:GO was the same, played it loads, then loots boxes were added then I got bored.

>aim assist is minimal
plug in a controller and you'll see how minimal that is
>resource management amounts to picking your favorite two weapons
>implying fortnite isn't the same
>gameplay rewards quick reflexes
same as CoD, in fact its basically the entirety of the game
also how come you ignore:
>very unforgiving, one death is a loss
on CoD when it has game modes that are just as that?

>gameplay rewards quick reflexes and strategic building
hahaha

cope

Don't need to, I can just thrash my mouse around and mash the build keys to wall myself up in a tower in less than a second, and have all the time in the world to line up my shot against the slow floaty characters trotting around.

Fortnite
>furries

Halo/Cod
>no furries

I'm glad I grew up with Halo and not this shit licking zoom faggotry

>glad I grew up with a party game over a strategic shooter

Can one of you kids explain the metal/strategy in the building?
Whenever I see it, it just looks like nonstop walls and shake the mouse clickclickclick until somebody peeks out a lucky shot

It's just Minecraft with guns

Can someone explain to me what is so appealing in Fortnite? The gameplay looks bland and boring. I get that it grew because of the battle royale fad and since then is slowly declining but still. Every match is the same shit with close to no variations other than some weapon placements? Watching that "tournament" it seemed that because of goofy graphics and building diarhhea it somehow appeals to kids/zoomers yet I still cant fathom how can you play this shit constantly. For example League is trash but I can somehow understand someone putting in many hours on end to get ranks/skill in a character, you pay the same map every match but it can be different every time you play since picking different champions/builds/lanes etc influences the experience but for the love of god what makes you play that zoomer trash for so long and not get bored?

>buissness model
kill yourself brainfart, fortnite has literally the best buisness model out there, no random lootboxes, best seasons pass, tons of free stuff, free updates, free concerts, just kill yourself subhuman trash and suck on gabens lootbox dick

the people playing this game are literal toddlers, so flashy stuff instantly grabs their attention.

t. I have two nephews who play fortnite obsessively and one of them is literally 5

You have to be 18 to post here.

the game used to have fun items and vehicles, game modes too that enhanced the experience, it was my main attraction to it back in season 5
not anymore, after season X it became blander than vanilla ice cream.

>gameplay rewards quick reflexes and strategic building
Building efficiency was nerfed to lower the skill ceiling. Why? Because the main demographic of the game is 9 year-olds

This is the only thing I hate about Fortnite. When you get an advantage and literally graze someones shoulder, they build a fucking castle in an instant.

I know they can't really make a build-less mode because it wouldn't be Fortnite if they did that but I do take advantage whenever they have limited supplies mode on. I love Fortnite but I hate building.

You don't need to build a castle like them, just build a box, and destroy their build's foundation and watch them fall to their deaths.

>I love Fortnite but I hate building.
there are like a hundred BR games without building

BR is an inherently awful genre
