>tfw no dark souls level like this
sad
Tfw no dark souls level like this
Probably because they focused so hard on everything being so self-referentialand bombastic in DS2/3. They should've gone the other way and reiterate upon the formula within the series instead of just doing the same thing but flashier.
How would you siege that shit?
Conquer everything below the hill. Station permanent garrisons with rotations day and night. Set an autistic officer in charge of it all then wait some years for whoever holds the castle to starve while sendring sentries to check every 2 months or so.
cainhurst castle is a bit like this but not entirely. i wish they made a level that's all about wandering through a rich noble family's mansion/castle and uncovering what happened to them and their maids, maybe having boss fights where you square off against the family members, with the final boss being their matriarch or something
>dude what if we took the painted world but turned it into a massive fortified church instead lmao
Fuck off, Ashes of Ariandel was already shit for pulling this crap
it doesnt have much in the way of fortifications
I don't like snow though.
True, that would be pretty cool, with detailed interior designs and such.
Literally looks like the first fucking level on demon's souls.
and that's a good thing
The Evil Within has a level in a mansion like this.
It looks more like Undead Parish than Boletaria.
But yeah OP that's just Undead Parish except the bridge.
I'm still absolutely livid that we never actually got to visit this fucking Carim location. It was teased all throughout DS 1, 2, AND 3 but instead of throwing us a bone as a proper send off they shat out some literally who kingdoms. I think it's so weird that nobody else was upset about or even mentioned this.
So, I started playing soulsborn games a little over a month ago, and I'm nearing the end of Dark Souls 2 now. Here's what I think so far
>Demons Souls
Best asthetic
Best boss fights. Actually have to do new things with every boss, instead of dodge and strike.
Best character creator
Best variety of messages that can be left
Riposte trivializes the game
>Dark Souls Remastered
Not as good, but still incredible.
Claymore is fun af
Bosses are not as fun
Can I get uhhhhh, duck Blighttown
>Dark Souls 2
First 3 hours, bro I'm straight up not having a good time
Can't even remember most bosses, honestly
Why am I suddenly bad at riposte?
The camera is a little weird compares to DS1
Why are the characters made of playdough?
28 arrowslits overlooking a bridge isnt much eh?
DS2 was made using a new unfinished light engine.
And that's so weird because I thought DS1 did everything DeS did except infinitely better.
>Best asthetic
>Best boss fights.
i recently play demons souls and this isnt true but by the time of release i can see why was highly praised, there was nothing else similar at the time
For reference, I played it first at the end of March.
I thought places like Carim were habitable though, or maybe I'm misremembering.
we never really got to see many of the mentioned lands so what makes carim so special?
couldn't you just march across the bridge with an armored battering ram?
you could cripple it with a trebuchet
drangleic castle is kinda like this
because the bridge acts as a means the channel a smaller group of attackers into the waiting slaughter by defenders
Break bridge wait for them to starve
this. hurl rocks, flaming pitch and diseased corpses at them until they capitulate
what do they eat ?
collapse the bridge and they won't have to worry about eating
yeah first half of ds2 is a bit boring. For me it gets fun from the giant windmill and onwards
>Can't even remember most bosses, honestly
played it 4 tmes and aside from the dlcs most will be forgotten. Get 20 points in ADP
keeps usually had large stockpiles
much easier to flatten the place if you're not concerned about taking it for yourself
Yeah, so instead you have the finest English weather, going by that picture. Big improvement
Just blockade the bridge, otherwise getting there after they capitulate will be a massive pain
It was the singular home of familiar knights clerics and maidens we see across all three games
Set up camp at the opposite end of the bridge and wait for them to starve.
