EA wanting to kill any idea of a real story in favour of endless games that don't advance the plot but rather just add new ones and all end on unanswered questions.

Bioware is a dead dev. The people who made the good Bioware games don't work there anymore and haven't for over a decade. Not only has Bioware had a chronic brain drain but the new people they get in to replace them are devoid of talent both creatively and technically.

The real Dragon Age died after Origins they'll never get back to that level it was virtually the swan song of old Bioware

Origins was well received by RPG fans at the time and that was before the well had been completely poisoned by dykes and hamplanets.

Most of bioware is walking on eggshells remaking Anthem in a Realm Reborn style. Until they redeem that project, DA4 would doom the company entirely because it would be strike four for absolute failures.

I think Kotaku reported that ME:A split into two teams, one to help make Anthem and one to make another ME game.
DA4 is in development since like 2016 and there was a trailer in 2018 but they probably switched almost all non writing/art resources to anthem by now.
Its in no doubt a next gen title, but e3 cancelation ruined most press releases about next gen consoles since theres no release date for either system.

It's a bioware ip, and bioware are incapable of making a good game if their lives depended on it. And for 2, they turned a crpg into a generic third ass action rpg hybrid, which is a straight downgrade gameplay wise, and as outlined before they cannot write a good story or design a good system to save themselves, more and more so as the years went by.

It will take decade and luck to fix.

It will take an entire new generation of people to find Origins and enjoy it enough to start talking about it again.

It will need to gather dust so the retards that ruined it will ignore it so someone else can wipe that dust off and do something with it's wonderful lore.
