Midgar is only about 5 hours of the original, the entire game being around 35-40 hours.

If you're talking about the og... well, the cover had just the ff7 logo. Each disc then had his own set of images

Finishing the game only takes 40 hours. Then from there the only side shit left is breeding chocobos to get knight of the round and the weapons.
The other 20 plus hours came from grinding your ass off for materia/level/chocobos and the fact that battles were slow as heck.

He's talking about the 1 year exclusivity thing. I don't think they're going to do that though.
But it really goes to show you that the suits weren't on the same page as Nomura because a LOT of people aren't going to get the ports based on this revelation. They would have made a lot more money releasing it as a multiplat, I would assume. Who knows how much Sony paid them.

Recruiting Vincent and doing all his sidequests is another hour.
I didnt use a guide and spent a lot of time exploring the world map. First playthrough clocked in at 80 hours.
Second playthrough I grinded in the beginning to get Great Gospel and at the end to get everyone else's L4's along with killing the superbosses and all that shit I played about 6 hours past a maxed clock
