i need a new motherboard
Built it in November. Getting a cute anime girl to sit inside the glass next. First pc I've ever built and I bit off more than I could chew. Especially the graphics card aftermod water-cooling kit. But turned out okay in the end
yes
At least it's not toothpaste
I am thinking about upgrading my GTX1060 6gb, but with what?
Thinking about a rtx2070 super or 2080 super but I simply not know if it is worth it.
Built it in 2015.
I guess I could get a new GPU but then I'd have to get new monitors to get some value out of the GPU...
wait for 3000 series, 2000 are just a beta test for RTX
I'm waiting until early next year maybe. Using a 4670k and a 6gb 1060, still runs pretty much everything ok. What's the latest news on upcoming CPU/GPU releases anyway?
>time to update
why? what game that interest me , worth buying
that isn't shit, will be released?
I'm waiting for Amazon to deliver my zip ties and a table.
that actually would be worth updating the system and not because its a shit unoptimized piece of shit made for consoles?
I want to but someone on /g/ said new nvidia cards were coming out later this year so I decided to wait.
Forgot the picture.
hows that liquid cooling, bros?
Here is a helpful build tutorial for you first time builders.
i only play old games/emulate so there's no point
Third worlder here, managed to buy a 1660 + ryzen 3600. I'm pretty happy with the performance in 1080p :)
I used my Trumpbux and refreshed my PC. Everything brand new but the case and power source.
Old machine was an i5 4590 and GTX 970, which served me very well for more than 5 years. Felt damn good to put this together, though. This is my first Ryzen build, and I gotta say, I'm impressed
get rid of the tranny RGBs
Im holding out another month, apparently theres a set of gpus through the pipeline for both teams thats finally going to push good 4k60 8gbvram capable cards below "HAHAHAHA fuck you its an entire console for the price of a gpu" prices. Best time to buy seems to be 6-12 months after a console launch when manufacturers are locked into a mindset of making even their shittiest gpus capable of running games for the lifetime of a console.
570 or 580 might be my choice, but goddamn, so close to the edge of another major leap in power for the new set of cards, and so close to that major leap pushing 1060, 1660, and better amd cards down to rational prices. We've been getting skullfucked so long with those prices, we've accepted it as normal now.
>use trumpbux to buy stuff from china
Frankly, I don't much go for the RGB stuff. But that's damn good looking
No thanks. I like them. They're all diffused so it looks pretty nice to me.
>tfw too poor to upgrade
>Built my computer in 2016
>R9 390
>Need to change my GPU
>Every time I check it everyone agree to wait
Fuck this shit
same except i have a 2060 instead of 1660.
1080p 144hz monitor, im happy.
ok just dont dilate too hard
>"building a PC is the easiest thing ever"
>watch tutorial
>comprehend fuck-all
haha i'm retarded
I'm not a tranny. But thanks I guess.
Just do what I did for my first build; have a list, and buy each compontent individually when you can.
Some ram here, a motherboard there, and before you know it, you've got a new machine
