Say something bad about my games. I dare you.

Playing the original just makes me hate this shit even more. They cut out so fucking much it's ridiculous. Unfortunately the first Ratchet game has aged like shit so there really is no good way to play the first Ratchet and Clank game. Sad!

cringe

Oh also they ruined the music by changing it all to the most generic orchestral trash i've ever heard

They just softened it way too much to try to make it appeal to kids, there's just a real pussy assness to how the characters are written, especially Ratchet himself

How come Ratchet lost its edge after Deadlocked? The humor just hasn't been the same since

Get excited for a new Ratchet game during the PS5 launch babyyyyy

Had to make the PS3 appealing to children

The original sounds like something from Spyro 3, it's excellent
The remake is hopelessly generic despite probably being much more costly to produce

Games don't age. The PS2 version is still an excellent game, zoomer.

The game doesn't even have strafing user, the fucking monkey in Spyro 3 could fucking strafe for fucks sake.

Good thing you never have to strafe, then! Only later games have levels full of enemies that fire consistent barrages of long distance projectiles, your moveset in Ratchet 1 is perfectly adequate for dodging and attacking.

Doesnt mean it wasn't good. It is the most soulful game on ps2

Dangerously based

God, even the alternate costumes in the remake are souless

I have had many situations where strafing would have made the game much more enjoyable and playable. It should be in the game and it isn't, artificial difficulty

It's what the game is built and balanced around. You might as well be bitching about the fact that jumping isn't as fluid in Castlevania as it is in Megaman. Adding strafing without changing everything else would invalidate enemy and level design.

The only video game character to get a shout out in the highest grossing movie of all time

2 is the best in the series

You still have side/back flip and the decoy glove + drone device to keep enemies off you. I just beat the first game again yesterday. Ratchet's controls in the first game feel kind of clunky but that other guy is right. It's not that bad.

That Tabora music is some of my favourite in the series, so glad they reused it for the museum

I miss helmets in general.

I thought it fit the museum really well apart from just being good music.
