Considering the lead writer and director of the game brags about being an "abuser of characters", the game's story was destined to be a dissapointment with only him at the helm. He just decided to take his retardation to another level.

I'm unconvinced that this turn necessarily makes for a bad story, but I'm glad Naughty Dog is getting fucked for their shitty treatment of employees in service of some narcissistic sociopath's artistic visions. That and for their overproduced movie games that are so dependent on story that a leak completely destroys any enjoyment its audience might have gotten from it.
Is anyone else in this camp? The /I don't really see how the story itself contradicts previous theming or narrative cohesion but fuck ND anyways/ camp?

I think its an utterly retarded decision from the perspective of someone trying to make money but I am impressed by the sheer balls on this guy to do this.

Shit like this never worked. Take Assassin's Creed 3 for example - people loved Haytham, but later had to play as stupid Connor and kill Haytham later on after he dabbed on Connor for several levels.
