What the fuck.

Shantae was alright, but you got bent on the other three. Wish I actually had money back when Shovel Knight was getting funded.

I've never backed a Kickstarter.
I personally loved Bloodstained as much as the SOTN-style Castlevanias.

Bloodstained was great. Shantae had some good fanservice, but it was pretty shitty.

>Mighty No. 9, Shantae: HGH, Yooka-Laylee, Indivisible, Shenmue III
you have shit taste hahaha

Playing Bloodstained right now and FUCK if it doesn't have that god damn precious feeling only real old games managed to have where you REALLY cannot expect the next thing you'll discover. Holy shit there's just so many weapons that do weird unconventional shit like that sword that's thrown and gets back like a boomerang, the rotating spike sword, the stretchy staff, shards to become catgirls and shovel knights, the summons, the tons of secrets and little areas, even the god forsaken voice acting is pretty fucking decent.
Music was also sso fucking castlevania it hurts. A shame I took so long to play this because I thought it was shit.

>Shenmue III
I don't see how you could be disappointed in Shenmue 3 when it's literally the exact Shenmue experience. The games always been a weird awkward mess with strange charm.

yooka laylee was great, stop listening to youtubers you nigger

>I don't see how you could be disappointed in Shenmue 3 when it's literally the exact Shenmue experience.

I actually haven't played it since it arrived. I've been shuffling my feet trying to get through 1 and 2 first.

I'll admit I'm just regurgitating everyone else's opinion. If what you say is true, that's all I asked for anyway.

Maybe they hoped the developer had advanced with the medium during the decade+ in between.

I backed Kingmaker, Darkest Dungeon, Shovel Knight, FTL, and most recently Wrath of the Righteous.

So far I've never been disappointed by a single game I've backed.

actually based. How do you find good games to back? I dont know much about kickstarter and other sites like this

Usually what I look for is a game that looks like the kind of game I like to play. And not so much "we have famous person X on the team" or "we're reviving dead franchise y".

Bloodstained was just a little too derivative for me (which I can't fault the KS for because that's what was advertised). It wouldn't be a problem if metroidvanias weren't such a hot genre right now. I really wanted Yooka-Laylee to be good, derivative as it looked, because at the time it felt like nobody cared about 3D Collectathons.

>A shame I took so long to play this because I thought it was shit.
You got memed on by Yas Forums and missed a good game. I hope you learned a lesson.

If you played it on Switch, it was better to wait this long as it was broken as fuck on release and up until recently.

I actually did. It looked like a low-effort cash in at a distance. Considering I haven't played any Castlevania game in ages, I wasn't even looking at much info until it got on sale these days.
Another reason why I avoided it for so long, I heard they had really bad performance on the switch, but it runs absurdly well on my shit-tier PC that can barely run Dark Souls 2.

Shenmue 3 basically follows up on the other two, in fact it could've outright have been released after 2, which is a good or bad thing depending on how you view it. The city of Niaowu doesn't feel as fleshed out as Bailu Village, but its basically what you could have asked for if you like the series.

It's also fucking amazing in VR and I wish the devs would properly polish the mod and release it officially.

By the way, you might want to turn the brightness down quite a bit to make it look better.

Backed my mate here on KS. PS4 copies coming soon bros. Even got a mug.

looks like 505 is viral marketing again

yeh it was good wonder if Iga's gonna take a break since hes proven himself or go right back to making more

>but its basically what you could have asked for if you like the series
I think I represent a large % (maybe 20-30%?) of people that claimed to like Shenmue back in the day. I liked S1 because it was fucking beautiful, there was so much to see and do compared to any other games coming out at the time. S2 was merely ok, I didn't dislike it because I could claim it was a Dreamcast port, but it was pretty bad for an Xbox game. Both aged like milk. S3 was like, ohere, I hear you rike Chinese milk
Sadly I backed S3 because I expected something good to come from it

This is Iga's prison. He's been trapped making this game for 6+ years and there's no end in sight. Meanwhile his goal was 2 years max. it was just a quick nostalgia cash grab so that he could build his business. He was probably supposed to be on the 2nd or 3rd game by now.

>505

They completely bungled the Japanese release leading to millions lost.

>yeh it was good wonder if Iga's gonna take a break since hes proven himself or go right back to making more

In the last year of release he has been franctically working on:

>fixing the JP release
>fixing the switch port
>working on dlc

He has had zero breaks. this game is his lifelong sentence and he'll never be done with it.

I don't back kickstarters, for every good one there's a multitude of bad ones that don't deliver everything they promised or are scams

Where the fuck is the DLC

>spent $35000 on star citizen so far
>still not out

you deserve to be disappointed
fucking retard

bait or complete idiot

>crafting food adds the food to the store
>but doesn't add basic ingredients to the store
>you either have to run back and forth to blue chests farming it, or farming alkahest to break down the food
Why did they do this?
