How's mankind divided compared to the original deux ex and human revolution?

How's mankind divided compared to the original deux ex and human revolution?
It's like 4 eurodollars on GOG and I'm kinda tempted.

didn't expect to see it on gog since it had denuvo
nice

definitely worth buying for 4 bucks
it's more polished than HR in terms of gameplay and graphics but it's only half a game in terms of length.

Not worth it in the least for that price. It's had the soul sucked completely out of it, even compared to HR. Also bear in mind, it's like 60-80 GB download. That's a lot of bandwidth for something middling, even.

better gameplay and visuals but worse story
much worse

It's 60% of an amazing game

The secondary missions are way better than the main story. And Prague is huge, and its design is amazing.

better graphics, enhanced gameplay, but much shorter than HR
it's alright

It's more of HR. The story and setting suck, but the level design and gameplay mechanics are improved. The story content is short and disappointing, but the side stuff is really good.
If you just want more HR I say go for it.

It is good and worth playing

Great gameplay and graphics, boring story. Totally worth getting

oh wow it's on gog finally

It's the first half of a great game.

Better gameplay terribad plot
You're constantly bombared by really awkward racism analogies

>graphics
>visuals
>level design
just watch a YouTube video, then

Pretty much the same game as HR with some improvements and some negatives (the big one being the story/pacing/characters). It's about as long as HR but the story is a meandering path to nowhere.

If you liked HR at all it's easily worth that much. Gameplay and level design is improved and there's a lot of good side content. It's about 30-40 hours long overall just like HR so the main story being slightly shorter doesn't really matter. If you skip side missions in a Deus Ex game there's something very wrong with you.

Do you even know what level design means, retard?

what
if anything you can view the story on youtube, not everything else

The game ends right when you think shit is supposed to start happening.

the youtube compression kills the detailed environments

I just wanted more Bobby Page

I played until the mission in the mountain.
Just got bored. I explored Prague and I knew that was all the game offered.
Seems like it got cucked hard by square along the way and maybe eidos montreal had shit management as expected of quebecois
human revolution also felt butchered but not as much as mankind

eh nice try of trying rebooting the franchise but immersive sims are going to stay dead. Even cyberpunk 2077 wont change that

>Even cyberpunk 2077 wont change that
it will resurrect them

I don't think you know what level design is.

actually... Did the original deus ex even had side missions? Wasn't it just mostly shit happening because you were exploring the map on your own just because?

what the fuck do i have to do to get this game to actually run decently.
>zen 2700x & 1080ti

The game goes on sale quite often on steam.
Seriously great game. You can see the rough edges and the ending wasnt where they wanted, probably hindered by the ignorable hacker mini game microtransaction shite Squeenix forced in there. Play it.

WTF? I was totally unaware this game was available on GOG. Did it release there today?

went on the store an hour ago, it's 85% off until 4th May

I have a worse system than you and it ran normally on mine. I have an intel cpu tho.

>gameplay

Holy shit! So now we got all the Deus Ex games that matter on GOG! Nice!

turn off msaa

They really messed up by keeping Jensen as a protag.

I liked MD more than HR. The world and level design are a joy to explore. The world is so detailed and every room has its own story going on.
Perfect length too.

Its quite good, fucking loved the setting even if the context of the story had a weak premise

Its trash compared to the orignal and worse than HR. But if you're bored and don't have high standards you might like it.

It's not as good as HR but it's serviceable
If Eidos didn't discontinue the series, its sequel would have been basically a DX1 prologue, thats where it was heading throughout MD

Ive got most of the setting at medium, and im still only getting like 40-50fps

quality Eidos engineering lmao, sorry bro

Yeah I guess not but you were still rewarded heavily for exploration even if there weren't explicit side quests. I just can't imagine rushing through the story of any of these games without exploring everything you can.

Adam Jensen is dead or at best not the protagonist in MD
The trailers for MD couldn't be more on the nose about the protagonist of MD if they tried

MD is worth it just for Golem city
Give me a game that's just Golem City

Prague was totally worth the time I spent in the game alone.
Still has all of the usual deus ex business, expect e-books and diaries and pocket emails galore as you explore. There's also a pretty hefty amount of sidequests, it's actually easy to miss two or three on your first playthrough.
The gameplay itself was also really fun, you actually have more powers now which can open up more silliness so long as you don't just rely on cloak 24/7 as usual.
Story was weak, quests were fun, sidequests were better, and the conversations felt pretty natural, for the most part.
It's also comfy, and really nice to see the story progress around you as you go through the game. If you pay attention, you'll see enough changes to find some swanky gear.
Replaying is also really fun, and there's a few praxis kits lying about you can get from level 1 that ease NG+ or just new games - not enough to be overpowered, mind you.
pretty much this

I mean cdpr struck gold with witcher
But I don't think they'll have the perfect recipe for an first person imm sim. They seem way too cocky outside but nervous with crunch and polish ruggedness.
prey 2017 had shit sales for a reason even though it was a good game. cdpr already does a better job at marketing. I'm hoping for the best but I'm careful.

Doesn't matter because
A) You're still playing as Jensen for all intents and purpose during MD.
B) As far as we know they canned whatever the rest of the plot was to be when the sales didn't pan out.

>If Square Enix didn't discontinue the series
Fixed. I'm sure Eidos would love to continue it, doubt they were thrilled about having to work on fucking Marvel games instead.

in other DX news: by the power of modding, the "piss filter" is restored in the DC of MD

cookieplmonster.github.io/mods/dxhrdc/

Why don't you watch a youtube video instead of posting on Yas Forums? Maybe you can write a comment there, you're more suited to that environment.

also, interesting read on how it was made
cookieplmonster.github.io/2020/04/26/dxhr-dc-gold-filter/

kudos to the dev

bro its 4 fucking $ how broke are you?

What was even happening at that point? The game has 4 or 5 sub-plots going at the same time. I don't even remember what Jensen was doing at that meeting or who he was supposed to protect.
