why did it fail?
Why did it fail?
Nintendo can't do anything right
They managed to create a cult out of their fans, so they did that right.
Building a cult of autistic people is very dangerous though.
>cultish fans
Were talking about Nintendo here not Sony
Rent free
irony considering the conversation above
what am I looking at
>not even a cube
lying hack frauds
imagine paying for a cube and not even receiving one
Same reason that the wii-u failed,
>Built a severely under-powered machine at a time when the core console audience was fully focused on performance
>Marketed it as a children's toy when the core audience was excited about teen/adult oriented games, especially shooters.
>Released zero good games for it.
The wii was a freak accident where casual gamers suddenly decided that they wanted a console and it became a "must have" novelty item for normies regardless of the actual product quality or their interest in console gaming. That entire market has entirely moved to mobile and shitbox pc gaming, so it's pretty unlikely that nintendo will ever be a meaningful competitor again.
What am I looking at?
No, if they were talking about Sony they'd have said they turned all their fans gay.
Case in point
>under-powered
It was the most powerful of the 3 consoles, the only thing that held the Gamecube back on a technical level was the fact the tiny discs couldn't hold as much data as a regular sized disc.
>The wii was a freak accident where casual gamers suddenly decided that they wanted a console and it became a "must have" novelty item for normies regardless of the actual product quality or their interest in console gaming
Nintendo executed the same strategy for both the DS and the Wii, it was no freak accident. They read the market perfectly.
Wii U failed because it didn't know who it was targeting. They halfheartedly appealed to both casuals and core gamers without satisfying either.
i wouldn't be entirely surprised if the switch (x) was their last proper console release.
The ps2 was the weakest of the generation and sold the most units.
It failed because a penny doesn't make a good heatsink.
>It was the most powerful of the 3 consoles
"No"
it had significant advantages, the gamecube wasn't better at that much
add the dimensions of the gameboy player.
>x, y, z all different
>"add to one of them"
>weakest hardware
>still managed to have some of the best looking and best playing games of the generation
>some of which are still being played and referenced to this day
>It actually believes this
>Nintendo executed the same strategy for both the DS and the Wii, it was no freak accident. They read the market perfectly.
Yeah, nah. They didn't read anything, they just repeated the same strategy they'd been doing for the previous decade and would carry on with for the next decade an a half. The wii was just a freak accident where market forces briefly aligned to make their product niche the most successful for a single generation. Every other gen - n64, gamecube, wii-u, switch, has targeted the same child/casual audience slice and deliberately been technologically inferior to the competition and each those gens has lost HEAVILY to playstation.
And if they make another console, it will repeat the exact same failed strategy of the Wii-U and Switch, because that strategy is the only one that nintendo is comfortable with.
It managed to gather the worst entries to every franchise featured in it on top of having no games due to draconian 3rd party policies. There's good reason only bottom of the barrel autists care for it.

This is bullshit. All of Nintendo's pre-Wii consoles attempted technological parity and relied on traditional gaming methods. Yes, Nintendo were the only company that unashamedly targeted kids, but that's about all you've got.
Both the Wii and DS took a massive risk by investing in technology which was far behind what was possible at the time and unique control methods that nobody else was considering at the time either. They deliberately did it to laser focus on casuals and it paid off.
Nintendo just can't do good consoles, see the Nintendo Switch. They are doomed to fail.
The lgbt Community is a cult though.
Because they made a gaming console in the age of media machines.
they were so concerned over antipiracy measures they killed the feature that sold ps2s like hotcakes
What am I looking at here?
There isn't one thing in the world that people call a cube that's actually a cube.
What are they gonna do? Assemble Lego at me?
>doomed since 1889
They'd probably just shoot you.
85% of all serial killers suffer from some form of autism.
Dunno if it's just the thermal grease under the GameCube's CPU's heatsink or if it's the result of a failed overclock with scorching
It's nothing like that they just scraped it down with the penny.
