Is Yas Forums judging a game based on mostly text leaks? You know any story can sound terrible when you read it from Wikipedia. Like imagine if Silent Hill 3 came out today, would players hate it because Harry gets unceremoniously killed off and you play as his daughter instead?

Harry getting unceremoniously killed was fucking stupid and had the weakest story. SH3 was still pretty good but it can't hold a candle to 1 & 2.

What did you expect, a 2 hour cutscene where he tragically sacrifices himself? You're playing the wrong series. Harry's death, as sudden and unexpected as it was, had tremendously more shock value that anything else they might have come up with.

The problem is TLoU's gameplay is it's just another hallway shooter. Due to the super basic gameplay, the story and cutscenes become way more interesting than actually playing it.

that was literally my main strife with the game and had I known before (like with Turok 3) I wouldn't have bought it.

Yeah, Harry was what carried the entire series up to that point. Suddenly killing him off and replacing him with his tranny daughter for no reason other than to pander to SJWs and "subvert expectations" is terrible writing. Fuck Hiroyuki Owaku, that s*y cuckold.

See this Harry's death was awful. Heather is still a likable character though and salvaged SH3 but the cult plotline felt stale.

Harry was just an average, modern human with a fucking hit out on him by a cult that can summon literal demons. His death was inevitable, and the reason it was unexpected was because up until that point in the game we didn't know the cult was chasing after him and Heather.

Yas Forums really only hates it because the main protagonist and antagonist are females, look at the threads right now and it's mostly just complaints about Joel dying (even though we all expected him to), Neil Druckmann being worse than Hitler (the way he ran the company truly is horrible but that's not the reason why Yas Forums is angry), Ellie being a lesbian (even though that shit was revealed six years ago), and the villain being a tranny (because ramblings devolve into delusions)

Yas Forums foams at the mouth about any PlayStation exclusive that's not Bloodborne and has always hated TLOU, this is no surprise at all.
I will say the girl's character model is disgusting and repulsive from any objective standpoint. Unless it's ugly for some plot reason it fucking sucks

I was pretty pissed about that when I first played it. I get annoyed when ever I think about that SH 3 because of that. I guess if they had us play as the cult to hunt down Heather, at least the character would be less annoying to play as. Heather was fucking annoying.
