Definitive version done right. Not losing what makes the vanilla version great and instead enhancing them to 11. Story worthy of jrpg and with enough side contents to entertain you as you take a break from the combat aspect. The social link aspect is weak though as you really have to plan it perfectly to maximize it in one run of the game. I think Atlus could have added an extra month or two of free time so players can do other stuff and also maximize confidants leisurely. I can't believe a game can be this stylish AND fun. I never took interest in turn-based combat much but Persona has certainly done it well. Playing on normal and below sucks due to cheesing using WEAK but hard and above is definitely challenging. Persona 6 can't come fast enough.

lol Atlus is gonna milk this 10x more than they did with P4, P6 is gonna have to wait bro.
We still have to wait for Scramble to be localized bud, also it's possible to max all confidants in one playthrough if you know what you're doing
>lol Atlus is gonna milk this 10x more than they did with P4, P6 is gonna have to wait bro.
it's already in production though

>it's possible to max all confidants in one playthrough if you know what you're doing
I did max them but in exchange I didn't get to enjoy all the side contents more thoroughly. I didn't even visit the Temple once or gone on dates with the girls outside of raising their ranks. Also didn't see all of the twins' dates with Joker.
Persona 5 was in development for 5 years I think, We aren't gonna see 6 for atleast a while.
P6 will take a long time considering is not officialy announced yet and P5 took 5 years and SMTV is still vapowave. Also there are still at least 3 more p5 spinoffs to be released based on the registered domains
I wonder what Yas Forums in 2025 would look like
if I like Persona, would I like SMT series? Do they play the same? And if so where do I start. I never played Persona 1 and 2 and never finished 3 FES. Loved vanilla 4 and both of 5.
I recommend SMT 4, Nocturne and the Digital Devil saga games for if you wanna start with SMT.
either the same or worse. maybe once breath of the wild 2 comes out people will start saying the first one was great and the sequel ruined it
Put some 200 hours in Vanilla but I still double dipped without a shame in the world. Still feels fresh after 100 hours of Royal so far.
Favorite active party members? Mine are
>Yusuke
Because Sugita is always best boy and his physicals wreck shop
>Ann
Concentrate damage
>Haru
For gun physicals, amrita showers and item throwing
>that idle combat animation where she would always stretch her leg above her head
HHHHHNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
>Favorite active party members?
Makoto for support, she's great for heal and I always gave her the accesory for President Insight to use on Ann every turn
Ann for the pure DPs, her Blazing skill hits a fuck ton of damage and her final skill lets EVERYONE enter focus/concentrate mode. Pure savage.
The last one is a free slot that I decide based on story purpose e.g I used Yusuke for Madarame, Sumire for Maruki, etc
>her final skill lets EVERYONE enter focus/concentrate mode
Oh fug, that sounds rad. I'm just about to punch god in the face, so I'm still missing the final personas.
was he wrong?
His ideals were admiring and he truly wasn't evil but being held down by Godly powers is not something I would want.
>definitive version
>has $50 woth of new DLC on release
>didn't even bother implementing old DLC into the gameplay. It's just there, in your trunk if you download it.
They knew exactly what they were doing.
because all Persona DLCs is just cosmetic stuff, a very great practice of the media
qt gymnast junior gf where
P4G did it better.
Added "new" Personas to the compendium seamlessly. Made costumes actually purchasable items in game.
Cosmetic my ass. It's locked Persona that should have been in the game to begin with, including the MC's awakened Persona. And the challenge battles.

Satanael is ng+ only, and if it's Ziodyne Tundercock it comes from free legacy dlc so you'll get him etiher way. The japanese version for vanilla added free new difficulty mode dlc but I too want a more heavy DLC such as new palaces. I wish it could be like Iceborne and that Atlus can add new palace every now and then but with the calendar system for the game universe it would be hard to implement
This right here is not in the game, along with others. Have you even checked what's the new DLC?
my bad, I just realized myself you meant Raoul when I remembered the concept art. Yeah that was a shitty move desu. Should have made him NG+ too like Satanael.
Royal really set out to fix a lot of the annoying things in the base game. Now you can actually do stuff almost every evening instead of being told to go straight back to bed and guns actually have a use outside of shooting them once for a weakness.
>Kasumi doesn't wear glasses for 9 months
>suddenly she needs them
That was dumb
but Kasumi never wears glasses
just like Kasumi
Is there some niche to Raoul I'm not immediately seeing? All he seems to be good for is slapping groups with a sleep debuff.
He smokes.
Raoul build is to maximize tech damage because he' guaranteed to sleep all non-boss enemies. Get the Universal Law trait to for him.
Maruki made her eyesight better
can't imagine playing this on anything other than merciless. even then it's far too easy. my only real complaint
also the new content really gets fucked up if you didn't max some social links. like doing futaba while apparantly her mother is alive, yet during the social links her uncle is trying to take her back and sojiro visits her grave. they should have just locked some social links but i suppose they wanted to make the game easy for women
So more two-turn setup stuff. Wonderful. I guess it could be useful for cheesing a few challenge battles.
It's not like you can do any of the social links before she realizes her mom is really dead.
well my endgame personas are just Yoshitsune for phys, Lucifer for almighty, and Raoul for gun. Izanagi for the chad cred and then everything else is just free slots. It's fun to play self insert where you only use Raoul though. Feels like Joker.
>fuse Kaguya
>one shot everything on third semester
Did i fuck up the experience
>It's fun to play self insert where you only use Raoul though. Feels like Joker.
Joker canonically can summon every persona
the moment you got Ryuji's insta kill the game is already ruined for the experience since grinding is made easy. It's why I'd recommend playing on merciless if you want the challenge.
>Joker canonically can summon every persona
I know, but I just treat it like he only has one so it feels like being a persona user. Every character has a gimmick and for Joker I just Cosby'd my way throughout the game. You should try it sometime.
Once Joker snaps them out of it at the beginning of January, the changes that directly effect those characters were reverted. The game doesn't explain it well.
Thanatos is better for an Almighty slugger. His raw damage evens out to Lucifer's with the boost/amp skills on but has the added benefit of having a 40% chance of instant kill.
Even Merciless isn't that much of a challenge if you just keep a varied party or have all those elemental items Mementos throws at you. Hard is legitimately as hard as the game gets.
I did not know that. Does Thanatos learn Morning Star though?
>can't imagine playing this on anything other than merciless. even then it's far too easy
Mericiless is easier than normal. Hard is technically the hardest.
