Sword and Shield didn't reveal the dex cuts till 2 months before release.
Animal Crossing cuts weren't known until the game launched.

Anyway FFVII is a game that was expanded upon while Pokemon was a game that had shit cut out to jew you. Both are $60 games yet one had voice acting, should be any sort of indication. Hell, pokemon still don't say their own names besides a handful and when they use a move they don't actually act it out.
