Became its own worst enemy by desperately trying to compete with superior competitors.

Ridiculously inflated "builds" which ultimate boils down to navigating obviously shit stats.

Skill socketing is far too limiting.

Story and gameplay could not possibly be more generic and soulless.

WoW and LoL style balancing where they just deliberately make different shit OP and nerf the last fotm each patch
Deliberately overtuning new league content every single league while employing reddit defence force to say whatever new powercreep they introduced in the league enables memebuilds, despite them not being able to actually complete new content

Old league content abandoned except for token efforts like putting a legion room in the temple of atzoatl
Atlas made more frustrating with the rework until you reach A8 and it finally comes together, takes way longer to get there than it did to get your shaper/elder orbs. Also floods you with T14 maps once you're finally at A8 harder than previous leagues ever dumped maps on you at all to try and tempt you to buy map tab
No thought given for performance at any point in the last year or two
Jacking up the price of MTX past the point of outrage and straight into hilarious territory

I kinda miss the old PoE with 3 difficulties.

It seems like they had something interesting going initially with the whole Pirates of the Carribean-influenced world mixed with dark fantasy, but it looks like that was abandoned altogether as time went on.

Oh yeah also a million and one restrictions on every new support they put out so nobody can actually do anything fun with them. And new supports only ever being different flavours of more damage in the first place

I'm fine with the clearspeed meta honestly, going fast is fun and this game lets you go fast, but endgame is too centered around 1 shot mechanics, server problems, performance problems, and the insane league mechanics (especially this league) only compound the issue, cluster jewels are fucking retarded to
I really hope 2 addresses these issues or Last Epoch matches PoE in terms of build variety and gameplay feel, I really hope they do because im sick of PoE basically having the market cornered for arpgs that dont feel like shit to play

This, I really enjoyed my first season but once I stopped playing became a huge chore to get back into it considering the amount of shit you need to read through just to have a viable build. Not only that but why the fuck is there not an option to auto store currency?? I have the stash tab for it stop making waste time on clicking on each one. That and the fact that trading is a pain without using outside websites and absolutely needing it to get your build working.

every patch just builds more and more endgame, meanwhile the early game is complete shit and your character is completely generic until you have at least 30+ hours invested
the only way to progress your character is to clear levels super fucking fast, and that just isnt fun unless you are autistic
basically they just keep making content for the most hardcore part of their audience
they will never attract any new players
hopefully something will change with 4.0, but i doubt it will

Shit's getting too bloated, powercreep gets worse, old builds become obsolete... Still, PoE is the best diabloid currently, unfortunately.

Clearspeed meta killed the game. You could tell the game was dying when SC faggots were pushing content faster than HC, it was clear that the people who really cared about the game had left.

honestly it's so close to 100% to be painful. If you clear a 4-5 orbed red map and hit alt there's a damn good chance it'll crash your game with the amount of literally useless shit that's dropped.

I am pretty okay with Breach/Delve, since aren't purely clear speed focused. It's stuff with the built in timer that is straight punishing you for not being a clearspeed meta monster is fucking annoying and seems to be the trend.

Breach had a built in timer in that you couldn't get many splinters if you didn't clear fast, and when you ran the things where you combined splinters you just had a literal timer that failed if you took too long.

Honestly the frustrating part of breaches in maps isn't that you have to clear fast it's that there's not enough shit to clear - breaches would constantly be in shit locations where there just couldn't be that many enemies, or in good locations where inexplicably few would appear. I don't think I'd ever felt limited by my clear speed dealing with breaches.

And breachstones were supposed to be the end game of it, I'd say it's okay to have a bit of it that requires some level of clear speed in your build.
