Remnant: From the Ashes

So the DLC for Remnant dropped today, adding even more content to the game in the forms of enemies, bossfights, weapons, armor, and a new mode. Survival Mode turns the game into a tried and true roguelike, such as binding of issac. Start with nothing, grow your character, get as far as you can.

And yet not a single thread all day?

Remnant is a solid game with no anime waifus or political outrage so Yas Forums doesn't care.

Be honest with me. I liked hollow knight and binding of isaac. Will I like Remnant?

nice

solid game but i was pretty burned out by the end and just wanted it over with

I played chapter 1 and dropped it. It was "cool" I guess but definitely not worth the asking price, wouldn't even get it for $20.
Yes, I pirated it lol

I quite liked binding of issac, the new survival mode reminds me alot of it.

You start off with nothing and get put into a random biome and have to fight a timer which is basically "your exp vs enemy exp" and you have to stay at the same level or a higher level then the enemies. Nothing except scrap is shared so if you play with a friend you need to communicate and work on different builds.

Not Japanese so my point still stands.

Yes

I thought about it. The game was okay so I was a little tempted to buy the dlc. But it's been months since I played and I don't really care about replaying it.
It's a 6, maybe 7 out of 10.

Is the dlc any good at least?

been thinking about getting this, is it worth it for $23?

Remnant a shit

Shill thread.

Good. I’ll give it a try. Thanks bros

Sorry let's have more threads talking about tlou

Bought the game since it reminds me a little of my favourite boardgame "Shadows if Brimstone". I got to the third world and before I dropped it. Fantastic design but the pieces doesn't really come together in a satisfying way, and the constant enemy spam gets old really fast. I low-key want to finish it so is there a trick to enjoying it or something?

From what I hear about this game it’s just a harder Borderlands, which along with Nioh and Dragons Crown have cemented my hatred for Diablo loot as a means of progression, even if the rest of the game is fantastic. Also not a big fan of RNG levels, but I could be sold on the gunplay. How fun is it?

Gunplay is okay. Nothing particularly amazing.

Its nice because its a nice compact game without much frills. But mechanics wise it's pretty bare bones, gunplay its average as best, and difficulty isn't even that bad.

The best thing about it is it does have some fun weapons that aren't just joke weapons. All the weapons are legitimate and fun to use.

It is basically dark souls with guns, minus the lose souls on death.

Enemy spam in boss fights are legit. I know they are supposed to be for ammo but sometimes they're just too much. I'd say at that point grab a friend or that one mod that pulls aggro off you.

gunplay is boring. literally destiny tier where you fish for headshots all day

I guess I should clarify what I mean by Diablo loot: constantly getting new shit that’s slightly better than what you have before so every ten minutes or after every level you have to spend time cycling your inventory, which I hate. Although now I have no idea if that even applies to this game

>a tried and true roguelike, such as binding of issac.
God I fucking hate you underage normie retards so much

Doesn't apply here. There's new guns but you level them up and mod them as you go. No stat whoring.

>The best thing about it is it does have some fun weapons that aren't just joke weapons. All the weapons are legitimate and fun to use.
This isn't even remotely true.

pirated this when it came out and finished it, but i have to say i was a little disappointed. the gunplay and actual game mechanics work well, but the entire charm of the Souls games was that the levels were, well, designed. It's very difficult to replicate that difficulty and experience with randomly generated levels. I don't hate this game but the roguelike thing was not a good idea

I'm easily amused.

>surge 2
>greedfall
>remnant fta
>over half a year old literally who games
>nowhere to be found under €20
Meanwhile star wars fallen order is already nearing €20, what the shit is this economy.

The game has enemies that scale with your level, that should tell you its shit.

Big AAA games make 90% of their money through preorder hype. If you just don't pre-order like a simp you'll get it later for cheap. AA games like this one don't have that, and even then the game's 40% off. It's already like 20 bucks dude.

Enemies don't scale off your level. They scale off of gear level. Just upgrade your shit. You can even check in your stats to see if you need to upgrade or not.

>Enemies don't scale off your level. They scale off of gear level.
Same difference, shill-kun.

looks like there might actually be a dark elf waifu

Literally not, you'd know this if you actually played the game. But you're an anti-shill who spouts wrong information on a product you don't understand and call anyone who corrects you a shill, so your "opinion" is invalid and should be ignored.

So you are a shill then, ok thank you for clarifying.

Fuck off, shill.

>But you're an anti-shill
nice way to out yourself as a shill

Whats wrong with shilling?

This is probably the oddest game I've ever played. It's still a good game, but its just so odd.

The first biome, earth, has a completely different atmosphere and setting from the rest of the other 3 biomes. It goes from a post-apocalyptic earth setting to exploring random alien worlds. It's not bad, but it's just weird.

Also, I literally had no idea what the story was about when I played it. All I know is that the tree monster in the earth level fucked up the other 3 alien worlds and that they're the main villains, but once again, they only appear in the first area and never appear again despite being the main villains. Some weird choices.

it means your game is fucking garbage to begin with

That doesn't make sense.
