Can't play now, but have a bump. Some of the most fun I've had gaming was playing this with Yas Forums a few weeks ago.
Appreciate the bump, user.
Post your favorite level.

For me, it's any of the Mission 1 maps

I never managed to get this mod to work
Is the problem connecting to one of the servers, just starting it up, or what?
I forget if that shit even installs properly, the menu doesn't change
And then even if it did it doesn't connect to any available server or my own one and you can only esc out
Yeah, starting your own server with this mod is a bitch. I finally got one going recently, but I can't figure out how to configure it the way I want. Also, if it's crashing when you try to join a server, that happens to me too, which is why I only play on the MiDu servers. The other ones crash everytime I try to join, and like I said, you have to exit out. That's more of a problem with the servers than the mod itself.
With that in mind, if you ever wanna try the mod again, I'd suggest just getting a clean install of RtCW, then following the instructions in the first post.
and like you said, all you can do is exit out*
Definitely using a clean install, I installed the game again just for this mod and it still keeps crashing. Oh well
If you're using Steam or GOG, I find that I have to delete everything in the Return to Castle Wolfenstein folder first, then I go and Verify the Game Cache and have it re-download all 274 files fresh. Just uninstalling and then re-installing doesn't get rid of the messed up mod install attempt you had previously.
But yeah, if you're sure you have a clean install, check your Documents and look for a "RTCW Coop" folder. That folder gets made when you start the mod, and there could be something funky going on there, too. I would delete that, delete everything in your Return to Castle Wolfenstein folder, verify your game cache in Steam, and then try again. You sound computer literate, though, so maybe you just have shit luck and something's wrong with the mod.
Still waiting for anons to join.
I've destroyed the folder, tried launching shit as an admin, even changing the installation folder to the root of the drive, all that jazz. Oh well.
Using the x64 version of the mod on a W10 by the way
x64 version of Windows 7 for me
Only other possible solution I can think of is downloading RTCW CO-OP 1.0.2 from here. There's a bug where you can't change controls while in a server, which is why I direct people to download 1.0.1, but it's something different that might work on your system.

Bump.
It's pretty late my dude. Maybe you should make a discord server or something, I would be happy to play some other time.
Yeah, it's no big deal either way, not like I'm just sitting here waiting and sitting on my hands. I got music and YouTube playing. My sleep schedule is fucked up right now, so I'm just looking for something to do.

HALT
still waiting on Anons
