Is it really ALL that bad?
I had a lot of fun and the mechanics felt fresh.
Do you think it's just Capcom spending money to spread fake negative reviews of Mighty no 9 on the internet? Seems like Inafune did a great job.

It gave us MM11 so I can't be that mad at it
No sales on virtual consoles gave us 11
oh okay
fuck this game and fuck inafune then
I will always fucking hate the game. I pledged $300 to that piece of shit and now I hate Inafune
>Is it really ALL that bad?
Yes. They fucked up biting more than hey can chew. This and Bloodstained I hope showed indie devs to stop having insane stretch goals.
Capcom didn't have to spend a dime for people to hate this
Tell me you’re joking holy fuck
I thought Bloodstained was good?? Did it not turn out so well?
What did you expect that you didn't get? Legitimately curious
I am not joking. I was a really big fan of Capcom and I fucking love Mega Man. But right before MN9 was announced, Capcom was doing a lot of dumb bullshit (still is honestly) including cancelling numerous Mega Man projects. When Inafune left, I started to hate Capcom.
Then Inafune put out that Kickstarter video, I honestly cried tears of happiness. It was a dream come true. It wasn’t just Inafune working on it. They were quite a few alumni working on the game.
But we all know what happened...and I paid the price: $300
The highest reward tier I got was an Artbook autographed by Inafune. Other rewards included both cardboard video game boxes, two t shirts with one of them autographed by Inafune, some posters, a plushie of the Health pickup, and I got to play the several Betas that came out.
Did you spend 300$ after watching that Rob Man vid?
I’ll be honest, I don’t know what you mean by that. But if you meant the Kickstarter video, then yes
I mean in terms of the game itself
Happy Console Gamer
Oh sorry, I misread the comment.
I really just wanted a simple Mega Man style game. I didn’t need the bloated story, the bad voice acting, and the stupid Dash mechanic that could’ve worked if they thought about how it would affect the entire game.
That’s what this game is to me since I’ve recently replayed it on my twitch channel. It has a lot of good ideas, but horrible execution.
> 300$ Man
What's your power? Is your weakness being fucking naive?
Probably the most naive I’ve ever been in terms of gaming, I’ll admit
Hey guys please keep this thread up while I play some mega man rock n roll
I remember when the Dina shit was going on. In hindsight, it was a sign of things to come. That there would be some shit going down.
Bloodstained was good but there is still no word on any updates
Never understand why there was hype for this, thought people were pissed because that Mega Men Legends game got cancelled. The Kickstarter was just another standard 2D (3D) Mega Men game that has been done to death. If it was a Legends type game I would understand people funding this.
It was the timing of the announcement. It was perfect. Retro Kickstarter revivals weren’t a thing yet, and just about everybody, including Mega Man fans, were sick of Capcom. In a way, pledging money to the project was like waving a middle finger to Capcom directly.
The base game was fine for everything but switch, everything extra has been a disaster
>boring level design
>long corridor or hallway into instakill segment into tedious enemy gauntlet into long hallway then boss
>poorly optimized game lags whenever you use the best weapon and fucks you over
>the bulldozer powerup in general
>the entire atmosphere, music and every voiced character
>that weird janky gliding segment in the last level
despite all this i still kinda enjoyed it. i never ended up finishing the boss rush or challenge #36 and might go back some day to do so
yknow it came out recently that Ben judd was fucking her this whole time and gave her the job.
Apparently he did that with different women constantly.
I wish we got a true MN9 sequel.
MGB was so low effort that it doesn't count.
i coughed up 20 myself, wasn't even a megaman fan
but was disenfranchised with capcom's behavior, not reading the fine print that inafune was contributory, if not downright fully responsible for that in the first place
i felt kinda bad for the mml fags because i liked tron as a character
the game just sits on my steam account collecting e-dust because it was rather boring
like even though i wasn't a fan of mm, i still played mmx1 so i can honestly say that this game was trying to be in the spirit of it but fell really short
short to an snes era game at that
and it's sad that it promised something a little different with the transforming into things, which it sort of did, but not the way i even had in mind
in summary, it wasn't anything i hadn't really experienced before and it didn't even improve on those older experiences, it was a watered down version with a shitty gimmick of dash2kill
it's like how i feel about mario maker 2's implementation of mario bros 2 gameplay, instead of having a whole new style dedicated to it, it just comes up as a powerup, dunno if anyone can follow what i mean by that, but that's how i feel
The first playthrough of MN9 is some bullshit, but play it again after you've learned the game and it's a blast. It really is rough around the edges, but it really doesn't deserve the hate that it gets.
MN9 is really a step forward for Megaman, its true succcessor. It's got awesome fast-paced gameplay.
>music
the soundtrack is phenomenal. the only issue with the music is the sound mixing. I recommend turning down the voices and sound effects and keeping the music jacked up so you can really appreciate it.
Why do people want more megaman games anyway?
By the time MN9 was made there's already like 25 platformer megaman games.
because it's fun
Woahwoahwoahwoah WHAT?!!? I need proof holy shit
You can just replay one of those games.
actually looking back, maybe youre right. maybe i lumped it in with the general aesthetic because it was painfully gay

oh man, also, you should definitely go back and play challenge 36 again. As a matter of fact, challenge 36 is my favorite way to play MN9. I love the format of it, the back-to-back time attacks of every level. It trims out the fat since you don't have to navigate level select, skip cutscenes, and you get all of the weapons from the get-go.
$300 man, I have a question for you. Did you, by chance, receive MN9 post cards? I've seen them once or twice, but all of the backers that I've ever spoken to have told me they didn't get them. The post cards are the only things I'm missing from my MN9 collection and I'd gladly pay you for them.
I don’t seem to recall getting any post cards with the last shipment of rewards I got. I would have to look and see
>long corridor or hallway into instakill segment into tedious enemy gauntlet into long hallway then boss
it's funny because one of the levels is a literal hallway
god what a shitty design
