Still playing Phantasy Star IV. Just got Rika and she is a cutie.

Based. Fucking loved that game.

I'm playing fire emblem 5. I want to replay some other fire emblem games, like conquest, but I also have a bunch of trpgs I haven't played yet. Despite having a lot of free time it's just not enough.

Is there anything like Azure Dreams, but actually centered around gameplay and not grinding

Playing OG FFVII for the first time really, (only ever got past the midgar escape when I first played it like a decade ago). Just got to Cosmo Canyon. Pretty fun so far.

Hows the mobile version of Dragon Quest games and is Final Fantasy Dimensions any good?

phones are not for video games

No just emulate

Is Phantom Brave PC worth a shot? The only other NIS games I've played are Disgaea 1 and 2

bump

extremely patrician choice. I know you said you have a lot in backlog but maybe consider playing TearRing Saga after beating Thracia, because obviously it plays a bit different but was the game Kaga did after Fe5.

dragon quest iv-7 are the ds/3ds versions (7 is not in english though and dimensions is fine if you like 5. (avoid dimensions 2)

Has anyone played the Switch Port of The World Ends with You? Been sitting on it for a while now, never played the original though.

It’s decent but pales in comparison to the original when it comes to the combat. Get it on DS if you can. If you can’t, then play the game on handheld mode with a stylus.

just got ffvii and ffix on sale on ps4

Even to this day, I still can’t believe that nobody copied the macro system from PS. Shit was great for customizing how you want your battles to play out instead of having to wade through the menu everytime.

Does the PS4 version of FF IX get any improvement to frame rate?
I don't give a shit about graphics looking dated but playing at 15 FPS today does feel a bit jarring.

Breath of Fire 3. Just the cross the desert of death. The game's been dragging since getting the boat. Too much annoying puzzles and minigames.

Just started 3 Houses. Picked Edelgarde route but I have no clue what happens in the story other than Bernie smells bad or something

Personally I’d do as little grinding as possible, cause unless you’re really obsessed with the characters, repeat playthroughs are a pain with the lack of unique maps for 90 percent of each route.

>Picked Edelgarde
You still have time to restart, friend.

Replaying Devil Survivor Overclocked at the moment. Still kino as fuck.

I should really play this game again. I remember having a lot of fun with it.

i love psIV like you wouldn't believe

Playing Dragon Quest XI, my party rn is Hero/Serena/Jade/Veronica thoughts on best party members in the game?

My favorite party member is probably a spoiler for you so I'll not mention them. Other than that your current party is pretty great, personally I prefer Rab over Serena though.

Just get the DS version. TWEWY just ain’t the same without dual screens.

I'm playing Three Houses for the second time. This around I'm going the Golden Deer route. I really enjoy this game

I’m about to beat chronic trigger for the first time and I’m having a blast

Appreciate it, I'm pretty close to the end of Act I. Really enjoying this game so far, I've played DQV and DQVIII as well

I started FF10 yesterday, I've got almost all the party members with me except Rikku so far. The gameplay kinda reminds me of DDS except it's easier so far, I'm enjoying it. I'm playing the remaster on the PSVita actually and I had no idea that FF10-2 wasn't on the cartridge, and since I don't have the box with the code on me (I moved abroad for a few months recently) I have no idea if the code is expired or not and if I'll be able to play it.

Anyway after that I don't know if I'll play FF7, Devil Survivor Overclocked or maybe Bravely Default. But I feel like I can actually finish my backlog thanks to the quarantine.

Nice. Who’s your endgame party?

FF7 is incredible, I couldn't really get into bravely default but I may give it another try one day

I fucking LOVE VIII but I couldn't get into V, I know it's a retarded reason but I don't like how you never actually see your own characters in combat.
I'll give it another shot soon though, I rather liked the Dragon Quest movie despite the wonky ending.

Yeah DQV is one of my favorite DS games, definitely would recommend getting back into it. The story is one of my favorites in a JRPG

I think I'll enjoy Bravely Default because I played FF1 to 4 so far and loved these games, but my friends told me it's very long and repetitive so I am hesitating. I don't want to be burned out on video games yet when it's the only thing I can do during my free time.

I feel that, have you been playing anything else recently? I'll play games that don't have an end like Rocket League or Stardew valley to mix it up

I've started Fire Emblem Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones, I'm more or less in the middle of BB and in the later half of SS. Got sick of them but I think it's because I played 3H before them. So I plan on going back to them later. I've done some visual novels [mostly mediocre otome games/spoiler] and I have some I haven't started yet so I'm probably going to play a little bit of both that and JRPGs.

What's the comfiest, most lighthearted JRPG currently on PSN sale? I could use a break from some of the grimdark shit I usually play.

Was dicking around and mapped out the first few floors of Wiz 1 in Llylgamyn Saga with a shitty premade party. There is something oddly great about the dungeon design and general flow in this game despite how shitty it is. I always enjoy playing it, no matter what version. Really sucks that there's no way to make spell descriptions and character names not be in japanese though.
