there's a setting called "preload frame data" that enables the HUD while in hardware mode, and you'll want to enable software mode for FMVs in game fixes iirc. MTVU as well in speed hacks

No need for new games, nothing can do the manga justice. The Dreamcast game had the right idea by being its own thing and the PS2 game was good for its time but that's it. Everything else fell on its ass. Just read the manga and hope it ends and reread it every year and appreciate the unfiltered source material.

I dunno, hopefully it won't imitate the LE DARK SOULS I-FRAME ROLLING EPIC COMBAT bullshit because first of all, it doesn't suit Guts to be a fucking rolling wheel and secondly, it just looks and feels retarded. So hopefully more in line with a slightly toned down DMC style of action.

The PS2 game can get pretty hard. To this day I've never killed Zodd in the 100 animal murder mode, and it's one of the very few games I have to heal and abuse other consumables when you play on hard mode.

Play DW3, specifically with Fu Xi. He looks like a fag, but the greatsword gameplay actually has really good weight and physics, and the game gets hard as balls on the later stages (and in hard mode, all stages)
