She's from the empire and with the exception of the other wolves, so are all of her supports (Mercedes is technicallt from there too) so CF gives you the most out of her interactions. Her pairings with her childhood friends, the Death Knight and Ferdinand are good too.

Fates has to have the worst map designs in the series, its so hard to muster the motivation to go through the game when half the time there's always some dumb gimmick you're forced to go along with.

Not at all. You get some costumes and a 5-6 hours side story with Awakening tier writing with Mary Sue SoV Leon, King of Obnoxious Losers, and two relatively good girls but they aren't worth 25$

variety in build possibilities in theory makes the game a lot more replayable, but I honestly feel like it wasn't done well in this game. That's the part that set it apart mainly for me, if classes actually felt noticeably different from each other, I'd say it's the best FE gameplay-wise

its pretty much the characters, which on average they are more enjoyable than the ones in the the games you mentioned, sure you won't like every character, but i'd be surprised if you did in the first place.
i'd argue fates had the better gameplay but why should i play a game when it involves characters i do not care about?
this is pretty much how i ended up feeling about fates as a whole, maps are either boring or gimmicky, even the good ones rely on some kind of gimmick to stand out instead of just having a flat out good design.

Golden Deer is easily the worst route in the game, I'm sorry. The whole route is carried by its final boss.

None of the routes have satisfying endings imo, and while BE has probably the most logical and conclusive, it's still missing stuff because they had to split content between all of the routes so each had some unique maps.
Also not fleshing out important characters/conflicts: Nemesis popping up out of fucking nowhere as the big bad of VW, Dimitri's big titty aunt, CF straight up stopping short of you stopping the slithers.
idk, I liked the characters but felt the plot overall left alot to be desired.
