If they truly wanted to pump and dump RTX they would have done so a year after launch. The fact that they pushed out RTX Minecraft about two weeks ago and at around the same time released DLSS 2.0 means they're actively working on it. I'm guessing Ampere is going to be just Turing 2.0, with more CUDA cores, PCIe 4.0, more Tensor cores and maybe just maybe 10 or 7nm architecture.

Why are you comparing a xx70 to an xx80? The 2080Ti is roughly 33% better than a 1080Ti, so it's not exactly impossible for the 3080Ti to be 30-40% better than the 2080Ti.
